Pico doesn’t have a chin

like i said, he decided not to go for kill and be patient.....and then he decided to go zombie mode and play into corrales game and show no defense and have a slugfest. if he was gonna get into a slugfest he should have just went for the kill and started throwing bombs when henry was hurt. waiting for him to recover and being patient did nothing for him because he didn't use patience afterwards and pick his shots. he pretty much just let henry recover so they could brawl with eachother

awful IQ

I feel like he may never get to become what he could've been due to poor management. Both his losses were in fights that were simply too dangerous at that point in his career. He also needs his coaches to tell him to do some goddamn wrestling. After that knockdown he could've looked to keep Corrales on the mat and he probably would've won the fight.

Anyway, fair play to Corrales. He's a bad dude.

His chin is fine. Pico’s defense and IQ are terrible. Dude left his chin wide open and kept eating shots.

Who has more Pico? Does Aaron Pico have more Pico or does John Jones have more Picograms?

i'm pretty sure somewhere in the broadcast, they called him the LeBron James of lightweight prospects (or something of that nature). that was kind of funny.

So Goldie was on the team tonight?

Pico got seriously clocked with those little 4oz gloves.
Wait a minute before passing judgement on his chin - Golden Gloves champ and got the tournament outstanding boxer award (he doesn't suck - more time is needed before making any judgements).

There were some people who brought up these questions about his chin ever since his first fight where he got rocked and dropped by BJJ guy Zach Freeman who isn't really known for his striking and KO power. The shot left him stunned and unable to defend a submission which put him out cold seconds later. Personally, I largely dismissed these concerns at the time because it was such a young fighter making his debut in such a big stage against an experienced vet, who while far from a great fighter, is still a big jump for a fighter making his debut. And then the next four fights from Pico seemed to alleviate those concerns. However, after his recent KO loss, it seems like his chin might be a bit suspect, and perhaps he should change his style a bit to avoid exchanges like that, because his chin doesn't seem to hold up when he gets into them. What do you all think?

Idk. That shot tonight wasn't pitter patter shit. Get hit hard enough in the right spot and you go night night, no matter who you are. I give more credit to Corrales showing some heart than I do to Pico having a suspect chin.

He doesn’t seem to have a bad chin. Letting a pro fighter punch you full force on the chin tends to end in a KO. Pico has poor defense and IQ. Left himself completely open in the pocket.

I wouldnt be suprised. Kids probably also put him self through alot of sparring wars on top of that as well.

Im supsrised he doesnt use his wrestling alot more. Adapt something to gsp, askren, khabib style?

When his opponents respect or/are worried about his wrestling, it opens up his boxing?

The only wrestler I see who done really well in striking is woodley, but he's a one shot hitter freak.

I haven't seen quite enough yet to say his chin is pure glass. But I've seen enough to say that it sure as shit ain't iron, and you need an iron chin to fight the way he fights and be consistently successful, especially as you step up in competition. I think he needs to switch his style up. Avoid exchanges, and start using his wrestling more. I think he knows that striking is more crowd and promoter friendly and that's why he's going all out with striking so far, but he could mix it in a little bit and give his opponents something to think about and still be exciting.

The worst shoots are the ones you don't see comming.

Pico doesn't see huge swings comming.

22 years and already a knockout loss...Pico will be the next Chris Weidmann...

He doesn't have a granite chin thats for sure. But the bigger problem is that he gets caught wide open. Especially this shot from Corrales had all his weight and power behind it. And Pico made that possible.
