Huge if true.
Found this on twitter, I posted after the weigh in he looked much improved, seems like he has taken his training seriously.

If your name is not Jake Shields (Or maybe Rousimar Palhares) and fight at WW, You are going look like crap if you go to the ground with Demian Maia.He looked like crap against Maia, think the before is taken with Maia but may be wrong.
touchbutt is paying off
Even the official is playing touchbutt with him in the second pic
No... he wouldn't, Maia is still a lot better than him on the ground. Nobody can escape his mount.Hed def win a rematch with maia now. Ubergunnar ftw.
Sarcasm dude lolNo... he wouldn't, Maia is still a lot better than him on the ground. Nobody can escape his mount.
Look at the transformation Biggie Smalls made behind him.
Gunnar has come in soft a few times before.
There are two main reasons: first is that he is very small for 170, barely needs to cut 5lbs. So doesn't have the same motivation to be lean like most guys.
Second reason is that the SBG camp have never been big into beach muscle training. None of those guys - Gunnar, Conor, Paddy, Pendred etc - none of them have ever looked like bodybuilders the way a lot of Americans and Brazilians do.
He was leaner in his last fight but he was not 'huge' by any measure.
He mentions pre fight with Tumenov that him and Conor have a new strength and conditioning program. He's pretty vague with the description but he says he does a 3 days on 1 day off program that works on building anaerobic fitness. He says it's worked well for them as it's a short workout and doesn't take a lot out of them during fight camp.
Overrated fighter
It's hilarious that everyone has jumped back on the bandwagon because he beat someone who I can't even name and everyone is acting like he beat gsp
