Philosophical question: Does Chiesa and Borg pressing charges make them weak?

I'm curious how the society of today perceives Chiesa and Borg after filing restraining orders and pressing charges in response to the Conor McGregor & Co. bus ambush.

Is this situation viewed any different given those who were involved (MMA fighters)?

E.g. Nate Diaz supported Conor in his retaliation. Meanwhile others have spoken out against it.

Discuss.

Yes.

But it also makes them smart.

I'd look like a bitch for free money too.

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if it was also to milk extra publicity on top of getting paid.

If what happened to Chiesa happened to Conor he and his lawyers would've already been paid millions.

Nate Diaz sits on a beach in Cabo, far from the streets of stockton. Street code is for poor people with no options. Guys who talk about street code all wish they were living in safe suburbia or an actual respectable life. It's all a coping act

Let's see:

Random Irish guy injuries them while they were minding their own business and gets their fight cancelled.

2 guys who fight 1/2 naked for money trying to extract money from a millionaire in a frivolous lawsuit.

don't expect high moral standards from MMA fighters.

Not if you're a professional adult who lives in reality, no.

Someone affects my livelihood, I'm suing the ass off them. Conor having deep pockets makes it even better.

Although if I were Chiesa I'd drop the lawsuit in exchange for a fight against Conor.

No.

Getting cut up on a press day is not in the job description. They should all press charges and sue.

I'm a Conor fan, but when you play stupid games you win stupid prizes.

If they were true men they would find Conor and stab him in the neck

Seriously though, weak for suing a guy that broke windows and got glasses into their eyes for absolutely nothing? wtf dude, they are just being civil, this clearly need a compensation and it seems they are not opting for the murder option

Only somebody with no grasp of civilized society or no moral compass asks this question.

Convict McGregor was getting charged whether Chiesa filed a complaint or not. This is common sense. Because the “ society “ of today is like the society of any day. The laws are there to protect us all. Without them there is anarchy.

There is nothing to discuss.

Another in the long line of useless, and stupid threads associated with this cowardly criminal act.

I am guessing this is probably a legal move. I'm sure they were advised that, if they plan to sue later, they will stand a better chance if they immediately filed a police report. Probably more of a technicality than a case of them running to the cops the second it happened.

In terms of them looking weak, I think you could actually argue the opposite, that just standing by and doing nothing would make it look like they were too afraid to stand up for themselves. I have no problem with what they did, and hope they get paid.

Keep in mind, the only reason neither one is fighting this weekend is because doctors would not allow them to, not because they pulled themselves off of their fights.

No, it makes McGregor look like an idiot that he’d put himself in a position to get sued. He could make millions by doing the actual alpha tough guy thing.

Pretty much this..also those guys did not involve themselves in any conflict, Conor brought the conflict to them.
