So has anybody realized that Phil De Fries is the KSW Heavyweight champion and has defended the belt 7 times?

I know he fought in the UFC back in 2011-2013 and went 2-3 and he faced some good competition.

I think the UFC should bring him back and see how he would do now.

I have seen a few of his recent'ish fights, he doesn't look much different and mostly been beating former LHW's albeit semi decent wins. Could bring him back simply because the HW division is so shallow but that's not going to happen, i'm sure he makes much more money now than he would in the UFC. Makes it kind of a moot point whether he deserves to be in the UFC or not.

It's not like he didn't fight great competition. Had the misfortune of running into a surging Stipe. I thought Stosic would have beat him a while ago but Defries shut me up real quick and got it done

He's talked about the crippling anxiety issues he had early on in his career. Having straightened them out I can imagine he'd have a lot better time in the UFC now than in his first time around.

He was also looking a bit more juicy a while back.

Although, not sure USADA are much more than an open pocket org these days.

He would do poorly again.
