That means if you just have the regular $11.99/month ESPN+ plan (now called "ESPN+ Select" and will increase to $12.99 on Oct. 21) you will not be able to watch it unless you upgrade to the $29.99/mo "ESPN Unlimited" plan...at least I'm almost 100% sure of this. This would explain why they were being so mysterious about how to watch this, never mentioning this in any of the thousands of promos they've been running for this card lately. Then I found this on the news section of their site:

The Professional Fighters League (PFL) today announced that PFL Champions Series: Road to Dubai – The Rematch, headlined by a championship double-header, will stream live in the U.S. on the ESPN App, exclusively for fans with access to ESPN Unlimited Plan on Friday, October 3, from the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai.

The action begins on ESPN Unlimited at 11:30 am EST with seven Early Card bouts, highlighted by a Heavyweight showdown between former Iranian National Team wrestler Pouya Rahmani (4-0) and former Tunisian Olympic wrestler Slim Trabelsi (8-0), along with a long-awaited grudge match nearly seven years in the making as Zubaira Tukhugov (20-6-1) finally meets Artem Lobov (14-15-1) in Dubai.

The Main Card features five high-stakes bouts streaming on ESPN Unlimited, headlined by a Lightweight World Title showdown as undefeated champion Usman Nurmagomedov (19-0, 1 NC) takes on Ireland’s Paul Hughes (14-2). In the co-main event, former Bellator Light Heavyweight Champion Corey Anderson (19-6) battles 2024 PFL Light Heavyweight Champion Dovlet Yagshimuradov (25-7-1) for the World Title.

What a terrible idea. There were fights on this card that I really wanted to see but I'm not paying an extra $20 for what's supposed to be a free card.

Bury it even harder for fans to find. What a joke by ESPN and PFL for allowing this.

I wonder if they're doing this as some kind of test to see if PFL can sell. If the biggest card of the year can't get people to subscribe or upgrade their existing subscriptions, nothing will.

I think they already proved people weren't willing to pay for it when they tried to do the end of tournament on PPV and it sold miserably.

lol what the fuck is ESPN Unlimited
Basically it's a standalone ESPN service that gets you access to all live sports including NFL Monday Night Football, all the upcoming WWE ESPN events and other content that was previously only available through a cable subscription or with ESPN+. I still have Xfinity cable to watch NFL and some other sports but they unfortunately haven't inked a deal with ESPN to make Unlimited available through the app like some other providers do now. Confused yet!?!?

This is getting crazier …

I would've gladly paid if Artem was still on the card. Don't care about boring ass Usman and Borin' 25/8

You forgot to mention it is for the low low price of 30$

This card starts at 8:30am on a friday? PFL must stand for Pretty Fucking Lost cause they have no idea what they are doing. I cant believe Corey Anderson is fighting for their belt lol. What year is this?

ESPN weren't they so worried that they kicked Jimmy Kimmel off? Their deal to buy NFL Pass to combine in this higher sports package they were worried would not get passed. They then wanted after that deal passed to buy UFC Fight Pass and add it also .. HOPE THEY FAIL. Do not want ufc fight pass on espn special Ed. Then they would raise the price even more.

Same. It's stuff like this why I can't wait for the UFC to move to Paramount so I can finally drop my ESPN+ subscription.

only if you dont already have ESPN through cable or another provider.

I have ESPN from my Fios. All I had to do was go to my verizon account, add ESPN Unlimited for free and I'm good to go.

In the middle east!?!?! favoring a muslim fighter?!?!? no way!!!!

BTW why was this called "Road to Dubai" if they are already in Dubai?
