Bubba's submission and grappling game has gotten a lot better these last few years.
His skills on what he showed on the ground going for submissions and advancing is what expect out of all wrestlers and grapplers. Usman/Colby could learn a bit.

To be fair, they're fighting much more difficult competition with better defensive wrestling and grappling who are more dangerous. But yes, I agree, ideally, this is what we want.

I was going to say it's different in competition, but still even at the lower levels in the UFC you see wrestlers who are still reliant on positions than actually advancing and trying to get their opponents out of there.
 
Moraes... you are D O N E. I know you don't like it, but you're body is sending you a very clear message. Nobody needs to see you die in the ring, brother.
 
A guy who fought in the UFC and gave Tyler Diamond hell in PFL. Bubba did the exact same thing to Ryoji Kudo. He's an elite fighter and always has been.

If Bubba was a good striker he would be a top guy, but he's not and his takedowns are a bit telegraphed. Still, a good fighter who is very dangerous in his element.
