Cory Hendricks weighed in as an alternate for this event but he won his first fight of the season. What am I missing?

They're not allowing alternatives to have 2 guaranteed fights in the PFL.

Same happened in the WW division with Carlos Leal and Taylor.

Funnily enough, all these 3 alternatives won their actual bouts.

Alternatives can still advance though if their 1 fight scores them enough points to do so.

Yes, it's 100% bullshit and probably has some sleazy corruption reason behind it.

But Hendricks was originally in the tournament. I mean he beat a former champ in the first regular season fight. Sordi, who lost to Hendricks, is in the tournament still.

No Hendricks was a replacement for Josh Silviera (who has since returned).

Its not a tournament. Its a leage to create seeds for a tournament.

Lol yo how is Pesta even cleared to fight? Dude got brutally knocked out just under less than 2 months ago.

I know its not a tournament yet idk why i wrote that. Thanks for clarifying. I just assumed that if a replacement fighter fought he would take the regular season spot from the injured fighter. It is actually pretty ridiculous that Henricks is not fighting.
