Nobody's going to be as exciting of a matchup as Pettis and its virtually guaranteed this will stay standing. We still haven't seen him lose on the feet...Cerrone got dismantled in the striking department versus RDA, and Diaz will get picked apart by leg kicks if he faces Conor... this is the move to make. Best striking match up in a long time

Pettis lately looks like Gabriel Iglesias when he's out of camp; I guess he'll have trouble making weight.

I agree. I would like to see that fight

Better than cowboy and Nate but isn't he like L L

If Pettis could say the words "bitch" and "motherfucker" in public more often he'd have a better chance! : )

Totally agree but remember ufc want someone Conor can beat easily aka Nate Diaz

Ya its a good fight but not worth it for Conor. Pettis is on a 2 fight losing streak. The better matchup ranking wise is either Eddie Alvarez, Tony Ferguson or Cerrone

as a pettis fan...no. pettis just lost. hes gun shy lately. will be a easy fight for mcgregor.

as a pettis fan I'd be worried about that fight. I can't help thinking that the RDA fight might have broken him, with what he was saying afterwards ('I was hitting him and it wasn't doing anything to him', that kind of stuff), and then how tentative he looked the other night.

hope it isn't the case. would want to see him face another striker other than conor first to see if he is still the same fighter he was.

Be a great fight but I think unfortunately Conor would not fight him after losing twice hopefully gets a fight with Diaz or Ferguson though

According to Sherdog nobody is currently a match for Conor.

I think the wrestling in both cases is what made him gun shy. Connor rarely takes his opponents down and aside from RDA and Khabib, Pettis is really the only dangerous opponent out there at LW for Connor. Not to mention both guys throw wild unorthodox capoeira, tkd strikes ... its got the potential to be an incredible stand up war

Yes, because Conor's bread and butter is clearly leg kicks...

I don't believe that at all. I think Conor is so in their face about co promoting his brand that they would like to see him fail just to slow his assent. I see them giving him teh best possible opponent they can wrangle up. Anything to obstruct him from his goal.
