News Pettis signs with pfl.

Come on. You don't really fucking believe that. He's got to be getting at least 20k.
Yeah, I’m also not sure why bellator would be paying a 41 year old undercard guy 20k.

Upcoming PFL season should be great. Glad Pettis chose to leave the UFC.

They're stupid if they're paying him 20k dude. He wouldn't have been making anything like that in Shamrock FC, doesn't make sense to give him a big bump in pay to sign, it's not like he's some young prospect.

Ok, first of all, I never said anything about Shamrock FC, so I don't know why you keep bringing that up. The only thing I could find is an article from 6 years ago that says their prelim fighters that get Bellator contracts get 3k/3k for prelims and 8k/8k for the main card. I'd imagine Voelker would get more in a Bellator fight in 2020, even on the prelims. Maybe not 20k, but its got to be at least 12k. He probably would have got around 20k if he had won. If this article is correct, then he would have made 16k total for a Shamrock FC fight in 2015:

Alright, forget about Voelker. What about Homasi (the guy who beat Voelker) getting $2500?
Jake Hager - $3500??
Adam Borics - $2250???

I know UFC shills really want to believe these numbers because "Bellator is a bum league" but you don't go from fighting in a million dollar tourney to less than 3k in a span of one year. It cannot happen, would not happen.

I only commented on your comment about voelker. Not sure why you’d go on the offensive and bring out the shill comment.

merry Christmas.

And why do you think a 3/3 contract from 2015 would be 12/12 now, if I’m reading that correct?

Seems like they'd be getting better money than what Shamrock FC was paying them back then.

What do you think about Homasi, Borics, or Hager?

That article seemed to be talking about what they’d make if they got a bellator contract, not fighting for shamrock fc.

I don’t know about the others. I’d guess Hager makes a fair bit more than $3500, but I also don’t know that other orgs are willing to pay him a lot of money either.

The article was somewhat confusing, but I clicked the link at the bottom to Knuckle Junkies article and it was a little more detailed.

Apparently Bellator had a deal with Shamrock FC to give contracts to their title winners, paying them 8/8 for main card appearances and 3/3 for prelims in 2015. Maybe it has only gone up to 4/4 (prelims) and 10/10 (main card) in 2020. With that said, it is pretty likely that he would have made a total of 20k if it was on the main card and he had won, but it's a moot point because he lost on the prelims so it's possible he did only make 4k. I have no idea what Shamrock was paying him.

Sabah Homasi, on the other hand, has been with Bellator off and on for 10 years, and there is no fucking way on earth he only got paid $2500 after starching Voelker, beating Millender (another UFC/longtime Bellator vet), and highlight reeling another guy in 17 seconds.

Borics' show pay must have been $22500, same as Pico, at the very least.

Sorry I keep harping on this, but that other guy was adamant about that article he posted that I had to dig a little.

EDIT:
This article says Borics got paid 25/25 at Bellator 226:

28k for Bellator 238:

Homesi was on a 12/12 with the ufc. He likely got paid a lot less for wxc and was likely on a contract at bellator that didn’t adjust his pay based on how well he did other than a win bonus. I don’t know what that contract was but I imagine a lot less than 12/12.

Pico was a high profile guy at bellator. I wouldn’t expect a lower profile opponent to make the same amount as him. I don’t know how much either made though.

I’m not trying to pick a fight. Just trying to give facts and context and some insight.

Merry Christmas.

Borics starched Pico at Bellator 222 and went onto fight in the FW Grand Prix vs former BW champ Caldwell, and according to the articles I posted, his base pay was actually higher than Caldwell's, if you can believe that. To suggest that he's a "lower profile opponent" to Pico at this point is just crazy. Caldwell is definitely higher profile than Borics and they are basically getting the same salary.

As far as Homasi is concerned, Tapology lists his pay as 25k, so I'm guessing that original figure was missing a zero.

I’m not trying to pick a fight either, I just want to clear up any confusion. Merry Christmas to you as well.

The 2 round fights are only for the quarter finals, because they're the same nights as the semi finals which are three rounds and fighters aren't allowed to fight more than 5 rounds in a night.

Everything else is three rounds, apart from the finals which are 5.
Man if ufc did something to that extent it would be so cool. Love to see guys fight twice a nice.

Hope it works out for him, havent watched much pfl but I think they have some tough russian wrestlers who might be a problem. That million dollar lottery is tempting but not guaranteed, you have to get through tough guys and only one wins it
they pay a lot more than most think as base pay. It's not close to all or nothing. And even with Rory signing Pettis is their biggest name so he will probably make more than any of these fighters and be able to make a lot on sponsors.

The PFL seems to be mustering some decent talent. I'll try to watch more often

Perfect move for pettis.few people that ended a ufc career well
