Gastelum clearly looked bigger than Hendricks, Hendricks prolly can't sweat as efficiently.

Who wrecked him besides RDA that landed a bomb early in round 1? His other losses were razor close decisions except the Barboza fight but that seemed to be a bad style match up, Barboza is probably the only guy at LW with better kicks than Pettis.

RDA and Barboza wrecked him. Eddie squeezed by via being boring and wouldn't have won any other way imo. Maybe I'm being a bit too harsh on Mr Pettis because of the sherdog hype he got on here.

How is he looking, fine & healthy? Dachau status? He needed the towel & came in at 146 --- so still would need 1lb for title fight. He always looks like a skinny even at 155. I dunno, I guess we'll see if it was worth it to get a win. What say you sher bro dieticians & doctors?

I told everyone cutting to 145 was a BAD fking idea!

He did get hyped up but he always had trouble with fast grapplers with good wrestling and cardio. Most of his losses are to guys like that, Guida, RDA, Alvarez. I think the reason he had Henderson's number was cause Henderson is just too slow of a grappler and fights at a slower pace, Guida, RDA, and Alvarez are all faster and fight at a faster pace and that gave Pettis problems.

He looks like a fucking crack head! Can't believe nobody has said this yet.

Man, you guys are kind of ridiculous. He's not even one of the top cutters of the division. He probably needed the towel because this is his first time really having to cut weight for a bout.

Interesting. He used to look that ripped AT 155 pre usada. Hes definitely lost a solid 10-15lbs of lean muscle. Looking at old pics of pre usada Pettis he was thick and ripped. Post usada Pettis became soft and kinda skinny fat. Now hes ripped again but with a lot less mass.

Wonder how much weight he cut. He already was cutting down to 155.

Damn I thought that was a LW pic when I looked at it, yea he looks good after rehydrating, and I agree that the cuts will get easier

I thought so too. He looks good after hydrating. Cant do that forever though. Hope he gets a win.

He always said that he didn't really cut weight to make 155, and looking at his rehydrated weigh in pic from today

I believe him

It's all about the performance and the ability to make weight. Conor gets shit for how fucked his face looks when he cuts but he has never missed weight and he performs amazingly well, better then when he doesn't cut IMO. I'm hoping it's the same deal for Petis TBH

His lats looked bigger, but nothing dramatic. Remember he had never had a real ass whooping before RDA. I think it is more mental. Pics are RDA fight and Stephens. I remember at one point he said he stopped lifting. He looks young and like Sergio in the bottom pic of 2011. He looks fine at 145. He also looks different because he lost the soul patch.
