Pettis at 146Lbs (pic)

He's going to be sent back to MW, he doesn't crack top 5, mendes, aldo, max, conor, diaz all beat him.

I don't think he looks much healthier at all, def cut less weight tho

How does he not look much healthier? The only major difference I'm seeing in him from the FW weigh ins to the LW ones is his face is drawn out but Conor looks completely devoid of water and like he's been starving himself for like a week.

Pettis has a bit of sunken cheeks but it's no where near how sunken Conor's face is when cutting to FW.

Hendricks and Pettis were obviously using, it's quite obvious in their bodies and in their performances.

Oliveira via sub is over +400 so I took a stab at him. He tends to stand and bang which is always his down fall so hopefully he sticks with his grappling tonight.

Why do people put so much concern on weigh ins? For every Hendricks there's Connor and Joanna, who look like holocaust victims. It all matters during the fight

I don't think he looks healthy. I'm pretty sure he doesn't cut much weight to make 145, but i still think he had a rough cut. Like I said I don't think he cuts a ton of weight and he still had to strip

Pettis is used to grapple much stronger guys. If he plays safe, he can easily avoid Oliveira ground game.

Sounds like fighter bashing to me. Just because fighters go from the win column to the loss doesn't mean they suddenly got off the juice.

I said much healthier, not healthy, they both look unhealthy when weigh-in, Conor just clearly looks worse to me. For the ceremonial weigh ins Pettis looks healthy.

For his first cut to FW I think he did pretty well, should be easier for him the more he does it.

Dude was hailed as the GOAT LW and the future of MMA. He's the only MMA fighter to be on the cover of wheaties.

And now he's getting wrecked. I dunno seems fishy to me. Just calling it the way I see it.

To be fair I think Pettis finally gets back in the win column tonight via brutal head kick. I hope he wins so he can finally fight Aldo or even Edgar.

Who wrecked him besides RDA that landed a bomb early in round 1? His other losses were razor close decisions except the Barboza fight but that seemed to be a bad style match up, Barboza is probably the only guy at LW with better kicks than Pettis.

Here he is at the open workouts

Damn I thought that was a LW pic when I looked at it, yea he looks good after rehydrating, and I agree that the cuts will get easier

How is he looking, fine & healthy? Dachau status? He needed the towel & came in at 146 --- so still would need 1lb for title fight. He always looks like a skinny even at 155. I dunno, I guess we'll see if it was worth it to get a win. What say you sher bro dieticians & doctors?
I thought the samething.

Pettis was too skinny at LW, if anything he should've bulked and made 170. Instead he got even skinnier to make FW.

Sorry, but you sound like a moron

Yeah, I didn't know they started doing second weigh ins after re-hydration, he looks about the same as he did at LW.

I'm glad to see him at FW, he was always a smaller LW that could have trouble with guys that have the wrestling and cardio to bully him. I hope he goes back to using movement to defend takedowns though instead of just walking to the cage to sprawl. That's not working out as well for him as footwork and angles in the open.
