K-1/Glory rules, since that's what they are currently fighting in.

And why?

This is a hard one for me to call, Sitthichai has the kicks and distance game, but Petro has some scary heat and precision in those punches. I have Petrosyan via KO if he's still the same as he was.

petrosyan is not knocking out sittichai. he never gets a ko over a real quality opponent.
its a fight i would love too see but with both southpaws and their fighting styles there will not be much action in the fight

Petro by decision, been a while, depends how he comes back fighting a non-gimme opponent.

do you know if sittichai is confirmed for kunlun sept 4?he is also in the next topking with superfight sept 19....any definitive news?

I have no clue who could win this one,but since i don't think giorgio is 100% there i would dare to say sittichai.

Sittichai is fighting on the top king card in Manila and not the kulun event. He is set to return to Kunlun for the opening of the final 16 in the middle of October

thanks!didn't sound realistic....they've also added buakaw now to that event but i don't think it's possible for him as well...

Sittichai by scoring alotta kicks

im pretty sure buakaw is planning on fighting

It should be a good event as buakaw, sittichai, kem and thongchai are all schelduled

it hasn't been officially announced yet. next week. there is a chance buakaw doesn't fight and that is holding the announcement.

Petrosyan. He has better hands than anyone Sittichai ever faced. Petrosyan would make easy work of Yod too while were at it.

Nobody makes easy work out of Yod, that's a foolish statement.

Much of Petrosyan's advantage is being a southpaw, which he would lose against Sittichai and Yod. Also take into account he's barely fought since the KO loss to Ristie.

Prime Petro decisions both In KB rules, but in 2015 it can go either way.

I really wouldn't want to say Petrosyan is out of his prime... he lost one fight (which he was winning on points) and hasn't really looked any worse since his comeback.

Prime or not, Petrosyan would have problems with Sittichai, just like he's had with most Thais he's faced.

Sittichai has the perfect game to trouble him: excellent kicks, very comfortable at boxing range and (this impresses me the most about him in a kickboxing format) he is really outstanding at fighting on the move. He can fight going backwards and he can pressure/chase intelligently, moving in and out, staying at perfect range throughout. Gevorg just isn't used to this sort of flexibility, fighting mostly dutch style guys.

Well he's certainly not over the hill by any means, but I certainly think he already peaked. Even in some of the wins he had prior and post loss he wasn't looking as sharp as he had when he made his run in K-1.

Still easily top 3 IMO.

Was he really winning the fight against Ristie?

Forgive me, it has been quite a while since I last saw that fight, but my memory was that he was losing it

But then again, my memory is fucked up and should not be trusted

He was slightly ahead if not even, but you could tell he wasn't looking as sharp as usual. I remember thinking he looked off, then BAM he got starched.

Depends, if he fights lazy like against Salvador II or Gogokhia - Petro probably takes it by decision, but even Petro will have his hands full against the Sittichai that destroyed Groenhart and won the Glory tournament.
