Media Petr Yan's elbows to the forearm

The crazy thing is a lot of mma athletes have tendinitis in their forearms.

I developed mine in my early years, haven't trained in over a decade and it's still there and can be aggravated easily.
Not only that but man oh man your elbows just get destroyed from wrestling/grappling.

Makes benching / pressing in general in the gym an absolutely miserable experience.

It's a great, debilitating move against crotch sniffers like Merab. A couple of blows with enough power basically compromises their grip and hold strength for the rest of the fight.

If you don't believe me have someone elbow your forearms and then try and squeeze a bottle of sauce. Your strength is zapped

Petr Yan found a lot of success against Merab by elbowing his forearm in stall body lock positions, I've been seeing this move a lot more since then. O'Malley implemented it against Song, Volk was doing it against Lopes. The 12-6 elbow rule change has been a big positive.

they're lovely. that along with yan putting the top/front of his head against the fence instead of his shoulder to prop himself up made the back bodylock kinda useless. fighters need to stop going shoulder against the fence in that position it makes it so much easier to get behind you and sag on you.
