How can Petr Yan have Merab visibly hurt, and not follow up to the body? Terrible killer instinct.

The reason why people don;';t throw a lot of bodykicks vs Merab is because they open up takedowns. It's not a video game. You need to set these things up when you fight. That's why we don't see bodyshot KOs all the time in MMA.

Merab, legit loss that has since been avenged in a much more dominant fashion. As a heads up people forget that a headbutt caused major swelling to Yan, not so much Merab in that fight.

We saw Marlon Moraes hittng Merab with the kitchen sink, and still not actually get him to stop moving. You run the risk of punching out your gas tank trying to stop him, or giving up easy take downs getting overzealous. Petr fought masterfully

I disagree. 3-2 Yan.

Aljo had a single good round of back control where he did real offence. Yan was the one landing fight ending offence outside of that round whilst Sterling landed pitter patter.

Its just as if merab tried to make sure Yan didn't get the possibility to throw it again? Very strange.

I initially disliked Pyotr due to his inability to finish anyone in UFC and his justifying rat pack's "10 vs 1" funny little ways. But he eventually grew on me and I started to appreciate his fight IQ and resilience.
