It gotta be winner of Fluffy/RDR. Pereira is already booked and Izzy/Strickland 2 is in the air.
Unclear if Strickland is only banned from fighting in Nevada as his suspension was imposed by the Nevada State Athletic Commission, or if he's banned from fighting anywhere. AI says he can't fight anywhere, while several people online say he can fight anywhere outside of Nevada. If he can fight outisde of Nevada, I'd love to see Khamzat vs. Strickland. The build-up to the fight would be worth Strickland's usual predictable performance, and who knows, maybe Strickland can pull it off. He'd be a +225 underdog at least though, I'm guessing.Strickland is suspended for a while, there is no way Peirera makes 185 again, especially so soon after the Ank fight, there is no way to justify an Izzy title shot after 3 consecutive losses and I considering the UFC new policy of making cham drop their belts to move up, I don't see the UFC risking not having Chimaev as a champion after waiting so long for it to happen.
1) Generally speaking, state athletic commissions recognize each other's suspensions, 2) Nevada would likely add to Strickland's suspension if he fought elsewhere (e.g., Abu Dabi) while under suspension by Nevada, and 3) Nevada would not react kindly to the UFC commissioning a Strickland fight while he's under suspension by Nevada.Unclear if Strickland is only banned from fighting in Nevada as his suspension was imposed by the Nevada State Athletic Commission, or if he's banned from fighting anywhere. Strickland has the opportunity to reduce his suspension to 4.5 months if he attends anger management classes, so if he's doing that his suspension will end on around November 15th, 2025. Khamzat fought on August 16th, did not sustain any damage as far as I know, so Khamzat vs. Sean at UFC 323 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on December 9th is the earliest possibility of that match-up happening, that is if the UFC brass is considering that match-up.1) Generally speaking, state athletic commissions recognize each other's suspensions, 2) Nevada would likely add to Strickland's suspension if he fought elsewhere (e.g., Abu Dabi) while under suspension by Nevada, and 3) Nevada would not react kindly to the UFC commissioning a Strickland fight while he's under suspension by Nevada.
Realistically speaking, he can't fight outside of Nevada while under suspension if he ever again wants to fight for any organization that holds fights in Nevada.
