Pereira, Strickland, or Izzy may be next for Khamzat

Imavov mentioned that his foot popped and might be injured. If the Fluffy/RdR winner breaks there hand or something, and the UFC needs an opponent for Khamzat on FEB 14th, they may just call upon one of there bigger stars if neither of the true contenders are healthy and available.

Strickland & Izzy are both big names still anf if Pereira loses again to Ank(he will), maybe he makes the cut to 185 again. Or Khamzat moves up for a 205 superfight vs Perala Anderson vs Forrest.

I wouldn't say its most likely that one of these 3 are next for Khamzat, but its far from implausible.

Be a hard one to justify I'd reckon, he's just lost to Strickland and Whittaker

The cut is too much for Pereira. If he loses the rematch, he's going up to heavyweight not back down.

Strickland isn't a big name and he's not exciting. Izzy still has some star power, though.

Usman is on an one fight win streak, and he's a former champ that gave Khamzat a really tough fight at MW. Inject his knees with some stem cells from Mexico, and have Usman fight for the title.

It looks like Costa vs Shara Bullet is on tap. If Imavov or Hernandez/RDR can't fight Khamzat next, then I'd have no problem with Khamzat doing a superfight without a title defense or cleaning out the division. Because Khamzat fighting anyone other than Imavov, Hernandez, or RDR next makes zero sense & would be a detriment to the division.
