Pereira is already higher than Izzy in the "all time great" rankings

What grapplers was he supposed to fight? Ankalaev was supposed to be his nightmare and Alex was able to overcome that obstacle easily. You're making it sound like MW and LHW was stacked with grapplers that Alex ducked.
I know I didn't send this reply to you but someone else asked me the same thing earlier in this thread.

Just off the top of my head... Alex came up at MW in the early 2020s, which had the following grapplers:
Vettori
Brunson
Hermansson
To be clear I didn't accuse Alex personally of ducking. I accused UFC of career-rigging, just like they did with Gane fighting only kickboxers for years on end up until his title shot.

Not a better MW GOAT than Izzy or Anderson

But a better overall fighter and Champion for sure. No problem saying that.

Ultimately when you go on to be better overall (and at a heavier weight) nobody gives a fuck about individual weight stuff in comparison

No legit reign? He pretty much cleared the division... and just beat a dagi wrestler. What are u smoking mate?

If he beats Jones hes undeniable the LHW GOAT
Jones has cleared 205 division multiple times. Alex beating a retired Jon Jones would hardly retcon that Jones has already done what Alex did plus more.

I like you but I disagree because Alex may be better than Izzy at HW but NOT at MW.

So who is a better fighter?! Matt Hughes or Mighty Mouse? Individually Mighty Mouse and specially at 125-135. At 170 that’s a tough test for MM. Probably would lose.

At 135, Matt Hughes is getting his ass finished

I disagree, during his run Izzy was untouchable. Jan broke his magic, but Pereira also couldn't decisively beat an older, slower version of Jan.

Pereira has no chance of matching Izzys legacy outside of beating Jones really or winning against Jiri in the same way he did Ank.
I never get this take. Jan had one good round where he had Alex's back fully taken and gassed himself to just hold the position.
He then got soundly outstruck for the next two rounds. Alex picked him apart over the next 2 rounds with the only argument being that Jan landed more head strikes.

Jan's best round involved 6 sig strikes, some control time and Alex even had him in a Guillotine during that round that was as dangerous as anything he did.

Same with the 3rd. It's just Jan backing up taking jabs and kicks from Alex, with the occasional single shot from Jan. It's a clear round for Alex under all scoring criteria, making it a comfortable 29-28 with Jan looking like he didn't have another 2 in him whilst trying to lay and pray after a late takedown.
