Media Pereira eviscerating sparring partners

Pereira should be the favorite considering their history.

However, if they were truly evenly matched, there would still be a 25% chance of one fighter winning all 3 fights. Not that unlikely.

This. People in general have a lot of problems in understanding how easy it is to lose a fight or even multiple fights to a same opponent but still be the better fighter in a long run. Same with other sports also, ofc.

That would be funny if Izzy has spent his whole training camp in Dagestan and comes in with D1 wrestling to grind Pereira for 5 rounds.

I see no grappling or wrestling in those clips. Just a kickboxer being good at kickboxing. That, we knew a long time ago.

How much do you get paid for that , there’s gotta be an easier way to make a living

Not so much about Pay but helping the star and earning a spot as a pro or whatever. Proving youself to youself that you can take a beating...
Some probably actually Pay the gym to train there AND still get their guts smeshed by pereiras hooks.

Pereira clearly goes hard on his human punching bags though. Many fighters do, there is a vid of Till just waling on one poor underskilled guy. IMO they shouldn't do that but hey, I'm not a pro.

Still can't believe this guy makes 185. Maybe the biggest UFC Middleweight ever? Pereira has to weigh 220 in video; very low body fat.

People soon forget that Alex was saved by the bell from being KOed, and was not far from losing a decision before he turned it around in marvelous fashion.

Izzy needs to throw more of the straight right behind multiple setups. The straight right is what'll get it done, it was there for him in the first fight but he didn't use it enough.
You seem to forget Alex was winning the first round before that last-second shot from Izzy; hell that last shot was after the bell. Without that last-second shot (which I'm only talking about since we're basically talking whatcouldhavebeens here), we would be looking at the fight being 2-2 heading into the fifth, which Alex was also winning.

Scary stare
Lmao I never saw that before. That's like straight out of a movie

Still, yet another pro fighter that is Hans Molenkamp's bitch.

Yes, but a 12.5% chance that Alex would 3-0 him if they were truly even. Kinda depends on how you look at it.

Teeing off on training partners lol such a great look for Alex. His sycophants eating it up too.. Weird fanbase.
Darren Till posted stuff like this a few years ago and got lit up for it, and rightfully so. Going hard in training is one thing, but posting it for clout? Nah

True if you also want to predict the correct winner. Even then, a 1 in 8 chance is still not that wild considering the low sample size and variability in martial arts. If you then add that Izzy also hurt him in 2 fights and the first one was a relatively close decision, it's a lot closer than it seems from just looking at the results.

I don't believe they're exactly 50/50 though, but I wouldn't be shocked at all if Izzy won the next one either.

100%. Even though I do favor Alex, the results alone don't tell the story. And completely agree about sample size and how people read into results sometimes too much. It's why MMA math is mocked

Pereira getting them canzat level fighters to train with him.

Lmao is the caption Izzy's birthday?

A+ trolling.

Why is he sparring with someone shorter and fatter than Gastelum, for a fight with a guy taller, skinnier and rangier than him?

He was also sparring with a Pro Heavy Weight - Zhilei Zhang (24-1-1, 19KO's) a few days ago.
