People who cheat the system?

Think of it like this, people who are cheating the system now are gonna be screwed later when they actually "NEED" it. Welfare and the such is really something I believe we need to slowly take away, that way people have a good amount of time to adjust to not having it. If you were to take away Welfare, Medicaid, ect. instantly, people will be totally screwed and possibly die. It's also not economical for the government to really crack-down on welfare fraud without wasting more money, so people do tend to get away with it too. Just remember that we'll all experience what we're meant to, and those who try to cheat the system are really just cheating themselves in the end.

Albanians imo. They think the more they cheat the system the smarter they are. But systems don't work when too many people cheat. It's a tough world Germanic people have to run. If the people ripping off the system while laughing at the people who created it (who expected people to have integrity) were actually so smart, their countries would be the best. But countries where everybody wants to scam everybody else don't look like places where everybody is smart, do they.

imo

I personally know some very decent people who are at least part Albanian btw.

oh god its a trap lol

My exgf's dad, deals drugs for a living and collects welfare monthly. He spent a few years in prison and he's just overall a lousy person, and father. He lives a shit life, doesn't do anything all day except sit at home or go to the bar to play video-poker and drink.

Lately he's been trying to redeem himself with his daughters, which is an on and off thing.

I see people at gas stations playing video poker and video slot machines. These people aren't scumbags like drug dealers or crack heads but they are really seedy and pathetic.

I used to just have Internet service and would use a coax splitter to split the line to my tv so I would get basic cable. I couldn't justify paying so much for something I just didn't use. I think it was just under $50 for the most basic cable service my provider would give me and I only watched about 3 or 4 hours worth of TV a week.

I know of people that cut down their own Christmas tree. lol

I also know of someone that got out of additional demedit points being added to their license by paying more than their original fine and not cashing the returning check. Apparently in the province of Ontario the points aren't added to your record until the full transaction is complete. I don't know if this still applies though, the guy that did this did it like 19 years ago when I was hanging around some sketchy people.

i know some guy who exchanges food stamps for cash and sometimes sell the baby formula
he gets from wic

Posted this in another thread:

I know someone that collects welfare, foodstamps and section 8 housing, works a job but refuses more than 20 hours a week and has been offered managerial training for a decent salary increase but refused it because she would lose her benefits and in the end makes more and works less on these programs.

I had 2 friends who got laid off and used the full 2 years unemployment let them collect checks for, just as the time ran out they miraculously found jobs.

I live in California and this happened to my brother and my friends. They would apply for the most high-paying stupid jobs while on unemployment and show they were 'seeking work'. You know, seeking to be an Angels Baseball announcer assistant, a $25 starting job even though they had no qualifaction experience. Then their checks stop coming, and they miraculously (Yep, I use that word too) find jobs. Astonishing isn't it, you cut some people off and they get off their ass and find a job.

This only proves that welfare often subsidizes a lifestyle. Why work 40hours a week for $1600 when you can get $1200 to sit around and do nothing. Pain vs pleasure. Risk vs reward. Welfare is a lifestyle subsidy. Some people would quit their jobs if the government gave them $800 a month. It's all about personal standards. Which is why many don't get new jobs, because they're asking for the 70k+ they were making and don't want to take a 35k a year job. So the unemployment checks continue like clockwork.

I heard of a guy that cheated the system, his name is Bernie Madoff.

did you lose a tad bit of respect for those individuals? Most of our close group of friends (10-20 or so) sure did.

Trust me, you don't have to even hand out resumes for employment insurance. And of course I'm going to use the system in any way I can.
