how do you react to people who verbalize every single thought that enters their head, especially at work? its usually such completely empty filler dialogue that all i can really do is nod and smile, but after 20 minutes or so i cant do it anymore, so i just end up ignoring them. funny thing is, they dont seem to mind. i think theyre used to it, so they just keep talking to themselves and i just focus on something else.

I used to have this friend who was way into pro wrestling. One of those guys that thinks its real. "Look at that, they can't fake stuff like that!"

Anyway, everytime he'd call the house, I'd end up listening to him talk about pro wrestling for literally like an hour, non stop. Every once in a while I'd jump in and say "Steve, I don't watch wrestling. I have no idea what you're talking about. This means nothing to me." and he'd keep talking " Oh man and you should have seen Shawn Michaels vs whoever! this happened and this and then this!" I used to get my wife to yell from the other room so I could have an excuse to hang up.

There's another guy I work with who takes forever to answer a yes or no question. He reasons out every possible avenue out loud and every sentence that seems like its going to end - "...and you know......" and then he just keeps going. Drives me crazy.

I make minor alterations to the code and go on with my day.

As a quiet, introverted guy, I can't stand it. If it's something interesting or has a point, OK, but if it's just a need to talk and comment just for the sake of it, I get mentally drained of energy.

I'm that dude at work. I don't really care if they're visibly annoyed. I can't shut up.

Something happened to me, i dont know what, but i used to enjoy my time away from human interaction. Now i get super lonely, super fast.

I have a couple of relatives like that. Start blabbing to them the same way until they start ignoring you. People who just stay quiet and nod their heads are their favorite target.

with people i actually talk to (so not just randoms or ppl i dont like lol) im prolly this person
when i watch a show i should prolly not be allowed to text
things get very confusing for the other person
or when id write letters to people
omg just a mess
put a cork in me

I just would tell them. I have had instances like that at work. One time working nights in an office there would just be a few people. This one lady who had a habit of running her mouth just kept singing the same song lyric over and over. I informed her that needed to stop. No reason to be miserable.

you watch ur sassin

I like your posts because they're rambles. It's like whatever you think just goes right out there without proofreading or giving a shit about the wording. I'd have to assume you're a chatterbox

I think some people just find silence awkward and it makes them horny.

My toddler niece will not shut the hell up. She's verbally far advanced compared to her pears, and it shows. Constant blabbering and in need of your attention. It's really cute & adorable, but there just is no end to it so I always try to direct her attention to other family members, LMAO. Let them suffer instead.

Basically do the same with everybody like that, either try to divert their attention or find an excuse to divert my own.

I also had this sales lady on the line yesterday that was going 300 mph when she talked. When I asked her a question she would just ramble off her premeditated answer but wasn't actually the answer to my question, I had to ask each question several times and elaborate on it, just to get the simple info I needed.

My niece will say the same shit over and over, and responses to it absolutely do not matter.

"Where's grandma?"
"She went outside"
"Where did grandma go?"
"Outside. She'll be back in a minute."
"Where's grandma?"
"I just told you. "
"Where's grandma?"
"Fuckin'...she needed to get away from you, you maniac bitch."

Mine will want you to accompany her to find grandma, but that's best case scenario. Because then I can dump her with granny. Often she will want me to put on some kids vids on YT or something and I have to watch it with her. Or any other child's activity she wants to do I will have to participate in. I'm kinda grown out of those things, lol.

I have 5. One is a baby still. 3 of them are godsends. One is a nightmare.

I love her to death, but she's just a handful every second of the day. I will gladly play goofy games with them, but she has a one-track mind and no attention span. She'll ask for a book over and over until i get one. She'll let me read her a page and a half then she jumps up and wants to watch a movie. I load a dvd, she'll watch it for a minute and then she wants to play with her doll house.

She's a monster.
