People need to STOP 🛑 complaining about the UFC, like NOW!!

The UFC needs to trim most of the roster

Too many no name cans on the roster who cost the UFC money instead of making money for the UFC

Should be around 15-20 fighters per division only

UFC actually needs to be the best of the best again not just full of no name cans whose skill level are equivalent to bums fighting on the street

This would he a start
Get rid of the trash, keep the elite and stack cards again. Have everyone fight a minimum of twice per year and build some rivalries

MMA is not as popular as it once was. We are on a forum dedicated to mma, so I don't think many will agree with me. But it just isn't what it was.

I agree with 15 fighters per division. Only the elite make the ufc and if a fighter is hanging around 15, then it's time to cut and replace with new talent.

Problem is their top fighters are extremely inactive. Champions and even many top 5 contenders are tending towards fighting once every 8 months. The UFC can't fill their events with this level of inactivity.

Either the UFC need to fight a way to force fighters to be more active, or they're stuck with the larger roster.

In the 2000's the average roster size was 50 per weight class.
In the 2010's it was around 80-90 in say welterweight
In the 2020's divisions exceed 90.

As many have said maybe quality over quantity. Less apex cards and what not.

The ppv's are way to expensive. I reckon if they were $30 they'd sell millions.

Also I think their may be kind of people remember the past era's with rose tinted glasses and the phenomena of something new being exposed to the masses before they get bored of it like many fad's, for instance ufc getting on fox.

As for no stars these days I think it's the corporatisation of the sport where we are getting guys that are just athletes instead of showmen trying to sell cards.

It's also theirs only so many people that have the qualities of champion mma fighter, durable enough to fight often and are extremely charismatic but don't fall into the pitfalls of money and fame.

Also their management holding the ufc to ransom threatening to walk out on fights at the last minute.

I'm just saying it's a combination of things.

All you Sher-dorks just need to SU and pay $89.99 to watch Merab dry hump another manlet for 25 minutes because Joe Rogan and all his drug abuse will tell you this is high level/once ever stuff.

Get it together people. Geez.

If the UFC got rid of all their no name fighters, they would put on 5 fights a year.

I agree the UFC needs to trim their roster. I mean, it sucks folks would get cut because of it, but it's one way to definitely improve the quality of their events. With that they should cutdown the amount of cards or the amount of fights per card. I could do with the APEX FN cards being 4-5 fights like DWCS. No need for prelims on APEX FN cards. Quality over quantity.

Not sure I can agree with the second point. If they sign the best talent possible, then pay them as such. Save what you pay everyone on APEX FN prelims and use that to pay one of the best fighters in the world who's currently unsigned. Again, quality over quantity.

15-20 seems like too little per division. I'd say try to keep each division with 25-40 of the best fighters on the planet per division and they would be all set.

I think realistically, they should be taking the two headliner fights on each of the UFC on whatever it is events and apex shows and putting those fights on a numbered event and reduce the amount of filler events.

I feel that with the UFC not really promoting fighters individually anymore, it gives 90% of the roster an even more generic feel.

Some good fights sure, but if I want to watch nobodies punch it up, i can just watch russian promotion weigh-in videos.
