Yes he lost to Barboza, the worst matchup in the entire division for him: a blazing fast and technical guy who strikes from the outside.
But I have seen so many picking Poirier over him, even so-called "experts" like the guys who host the Heavy Hands podcast (this following their fantastic pick of Almeida over Garbrandt). They not only suggest Poirer would possibly get a KO (highly unlikely) but even suggested he might work takedowns, which is hilarious because trying to take down Green is like tying to take down a fucking brick wall.
The Vegas oddsmakers have Poirier as the favorite but that is simply because he has much more name recognition and is on a win streak. None of that matters in reality of course when they fight tomorrow.
I doubt Green will finish but he will cruise to a comfortable decision.
