People donating money on YouTube super chat just to have their comments highlighted

YouTube is easy money if you get a fan base you will be rich off these things like Patreon, adsense, super chat.

And you dont even need to be jimmy dore level or Jordan peterson.

The guy I was watching isn't even famous like them he has maybe 10k subs, I talk with him though he is going to help me with my meal prep through email, a cool guy and talks supplements and training etc.

He cleared 450 for one hour. Plus he has videos that are 10minutes long with 4 adsense yellow markers meaning the ads will pop up on those markers. plus his Patreon he makes $2800 a month.

So he is making something, his videos average like 5 to 10 thousand views but he has a few videos that have over 100k views, he told us he has those yellow ad markers up because this is his full time job now he was able to quit his regular job to do youtube

someone asked him how much he was making he said more than what I was making working a 9 to 5.

He still said it takes him a couple hours to edit videos and answer emails so its not all easy he said his social life suffers that those videos of him going out to buy food and eat with friends is basically rare moments he has he spends most of it editing videos and doing meal preps for clients.

I'm guessing he probably makes total $7,000 a month from his patreaon, adsense, and super chat, and then more doing meal and training plans online.
YouTube/Twitch can be a crazy amount of work, especially if you do it all yourself, which some of them do either out of necessity or choice. There's a lot of prep work, editing, etc. This one guy I know from when he was a small channel, he now has over 4 million subs on YouTube and is making millions and still does EVERYTHING himself. He was talking to Ninja about how he does everything himself and Ninja couldn't believe it. Ninja said he hired people to do shit for him years ago. Some people just have crazy work ethic and drive to be great.

Dude you ever see those things come up and some of them are insane amounts of money like 100 to 200 bucks

I looked at a couple of popular youtubers super chats and some of them are clearing a couple thousand dollars per chat.

Its a great way to make money you would be a fool not to capitalize on it, I cant blame them take advantage of all financial avenues because you never know when that money dries up

Jordan Peterson makes $120,000 a month off his Patreon donation subscribers, combine that with the adsense he earns off his youtube, and the super chats he does, dude is rolling in dough and more power too him If I were to guess how much he makes a month Id say anywhere from 500k to 700k a month easily.

How much does youtube take though dont they get a percentage of super chat donations?
He's still making six figures as a university professor. And he's got best-selling books and programs and all that. Even before he got YouTube famous, he was working with clients and had successful programs in addition to his university salary, so he's been making good money for a long time. But he's making millions now.

Lots of kids are given money by their parents and kids just do stupid shit with it

I"ve never considered doing this because I'd never want to be walking down the street and have random people recognize me. It sounds like a horrible existence, rich or not.

the really sad thing is I would almost guarantee all the people that made those donations are living in or near poverty. I simply cant fathom someone intelligent that makes great money, wasting it in that fashion.

but......I guess its still less sad than losers donating money to female streamers.........for absolutely nothing.

>>>>donates $20, last of free money until payday at mcdonalds
female streamer: "hey thanks for the $20 xxRobxx7
>>>>huge smile, furiously masturbates to her saying his screenname for hours
True to a certain extent, but some of these guys donate so much, you know they're nerds working in tech or rich boys from Arab countries or something. The biggest donator in one of the channels I watch the most is an army veterinarian. One of the biggest donators on Twitch, A7, follows me on social media, but I still don't know much about him other than he donates a TON of money and is a fellow Floridian. :)

Here's a few of his many BIG donations:

Yes that is the goal. Since i take care of my child at home. Im hoping it blows up but who knows. Lol. Im really trying.
keep at it man if these other people can make like 20 grand and are not even famous or have many subs you can too. more power to you, but just make sure not to spend it and save it up and invest it, I read some people thought their money was coming easy and then they lost ranking and the adsense earnings dried up they went from making 5 to 10k a month to 40 dollars a month, just save it up and invest. One guy was smart he saved enough to invest in some real estate because he said you never know if they can dry up online.

Tidwell thinks everyone on Youtbube makes $40M a year when 99.9% dont make near $40k a year
When did I say they make 40 million, a lot of youtubers make good money I said they can make anywhere from 25k to 90k if they apply all their available options and monetize everything tot he fullest

Its not bullshit alot of people have already said this, they were able to quit their job just youtubing, using super chat, and patron donations.

some of the guys I watch NEVER show their face and still make money and are anonymous.

Then you might as well do it because no one recognizes any of them

yup, the reason the guy said he did it himself is because these studios will askhim for 30 percent so he figured he would rather just put in the work instead of joining one of those youtube partner programs where you sign a contract and they basically have your rights and get a huge cut of the pie

A lot of youtubers join those networks who help edit their videos for them and market them, but they get a massive cut percentage.

Its hard work though, I couldn't do it because im not tech savvy it took me 3 hours to just edit one simple 5 minute videos during my film and tv production class back in 2015 lol some people just naturally good at this stuff.

If you blow up its best just to hire people some of these youtubers are starting to get health issues from trying to do all everything to save money, I think once you get to that Ninja guys level its best to hire people saves stress and time and you are already making million so you have free time.

Also the key is invest in outside endeavors so you have a fall back plan, the internet platforms can easily stop you from making money if they wish so dont even take a chance.

What do you mean by alot?
5? 100? 1000?

There are millions upon millions of streamers across hundreds of platforms out there.
When you say alot make good money, that means hundreds of thousands are making good money, and that isnt true.
For one, its all bogus, just like "reality" tv.
Anything in the business of entertainment is shrouded in false perceptions, such as this one.

Anytime you get someone, like yourself, who actually watches "Streamers" the first argument to defending watching a guy in his room with a camera, is that "Well these guys make millions"
No they dont, and why do you think they do? Because they claim they do?

yes a lot of those rich Arabs dish money out like candy, damn 5k donation

Dude if someone donated me 5k like that id probably crying especially being broke, thats a generous amount of money without asking for anything just saying enjoy yourself wow.

I dont watch twitch streamers, how come all you do is argue bro? like you constantly trying to correct people like them anti social dudes. you always negative man just relax.

A lot of youtubers, social media influencers make money and it snot because they claim they do its because its true

For you maybe good money is six figures a month so of course not many are doing that, but when I say good money its like 2 to 3 k a month as a side hustle thats not bad.

Do you got a tax refund like with a regular job where you can get some cash back in the male?

30 percent seems like a lot I thought it would be 15 percent, no wonder Google are worth billions.

you are correct, many of those pretty girls are filthy rich making in the six figures range, mostly from ads and donations. One chick was making 100k a month just dribbling basketballs in tights showing her ass lol, and all her paid subs who pay 10 bucks a month get to live chat with her and she will say their name on camera, some guy exposed her on youtube and her creepy loyal fanboys thumbs down his video they started attacking him and had his video flagged.

I was watching some ghetto boxing channel with some pro black dude I used to follow he had a super chat going and some dudes was donating 5 bucks, 10 bucks, 5 bucks, and then one guy donated 50 and 100, by the end of the super chat live stream that dude probably earned over 2 thousand bucks.

And he will throw a super chat up like 4 or 5 times a week, I saw his patreon too the guy has 389 patrons who are paying him 15 dollars a month. so he is making close to $6,000 a month of Patron, his super chats lets say average $1000 dollars and he does 4 a week thats 4 grand a week so thats $16,000 a month and then he has Adsense money which are ads in his videos so thats private we dont have public knowledge of it

So this dude with only 30 thousand subs is making around 30 thousand a month. He also posted a video with him showing his cash and new Jordans and other lavish goods.

And these are guys who are not even famous, they just have a small following around 10 to 40k subscribers. yet are making bank.

Jordan Peterson was making $1.3 million dollars a month from Patreon donations.
For tax purposes, they're considered to be independent contractors rather than employees of Google/YouTube or Amazon/Twitch (MMA/UFC fighters and pro wrestlers are also independent contractors). They can write off whatever they spend that's related to their channel. So if they're gamers they can write off their video game console, their games, their headsets, mics, green screens, etc. If they're IRL streamers/content providers, they can write off their cameras and all the equipment they use like stabilizers, chargers, and the whole pack of equipment they carry around. The taxes are a bit complicated so they usually hire someone to help them out. Donations are equivalent to tips to servers.

I have a YT madden channel. I started in 2016 and players that made fun of me are doing it now as well.

This year i became serious even though i started in 2016. I now post tips once a week and they are free tips. A lot of pro madden players charge their subscribers to get access to tips or chat. I keep mine free of charge.

Im at only 1166 subscribers right now but have gained over 600 subs this madden year. I dont get much off ads ($40 a month)but i made the 1,000 sub and 4,000 hours watched in feb when madden was almost done for the year.

I stream more now as well and sometimes i get $0 and sometimes i have made $300 for a 2 hr stream. The avg stream for me is $5-10. This is off my 1166 subs and the 7 to 10 ppl who are regs in chat.

I have talked to some creators who have 50k in subs and stream and make $4-500 a stream. I think thats right as if you gave me 50k in subs id probably get $4-500 a stream.

People donate to help or because they like you. I engage all my viewers and talk to them and a lot of ppl just enjoy it. Its pretty cool as i am building a small community who roots for you. I am a competitive player so i do money games and tournies.

I hope this helps.
I've gotten into watching competitive Madden lately and I follow TD Barrett. Dude's making some serious money and gets to go to Super Bowls and shit. You ever played against him?

I correct people when they constantly push a false narrative, such as this one.

If i picked up a guitar and said "Well Musicians make millions".
Sure they do, but 99% wont come near that.

99% will play at a Starbucks, or a few bars and make a little bit of money, but at least that's a passion and some will love the art so much that they dont care.

Streaming is not an art. Some girl showing make up kits, will only last so long until some other girl does it, and you lose your base.
Its not a passion so its not like she's gonna show make up kits on the street corner with a hat out for some change because she loves the art form.

And this is a forum. It's for the informed to correct the ill informed.

Imagine if we had a thread with 3 pages of "I agree with the OP"
Yea that seems fun.

@TidWell
Name me 5 YT people that you watch.
So I can see what you are so wired up on

This one guy I follow who's partnered on Twitch and has a fairly large following, I've never seen him, but I recognized his druggie sister from his stream when I saw her in real life down here in Florida (he lives up north, but his sister lives down here). Girl was fucked up, she tried to kill herself a while back and he had to take time off streaming because of it. I saw her out with what I'm assuming are her grandparents at an Italian restaurant I go to, she looked fucked up and was telling them about how she wasn't drinking as much as she used to. It was kind of surreal seeing her in real life. I thought about asking her if she was his sister, but decided not to.

Yeah, I know guys like Mr. Beast have full time employees as well as temporary hires to help them with videos, whether it's production or editing. It's cool that Mr. Beast will donate BIG money to small streamers as well as the big guys like Ninja when it's for charity.
