People crying about Khamzats performance......

Yall would've hated GSP and would not have him in the top 20 all time ranking.

GSP has 8 KO's, 6 subs and 12 decision wins in 26 fights. He was not a finisher and went for TD's against very inferior fighters and did little damage at times.

Chimaev has 6 KO's, 6 subs and 3 decisions in 15 fights.

Yall better not be same posters that call GSP the GOAT and saying Khamzat scared to actually fight.
Nah, GSP threw jabs.

GSP had 3 decisions in 15 fights (and one loss). It's a more accurate comparison than comparing their entire records.

Do you think the company would last 2 years if the fights were even 50% this type of action? Perhaps your enjoyment of pure wrestling and noogies woul destroy the company in a year so you crying how others feel on the matter instead of seeing position with pitter patter blanket is not what the vast majority care for

Genuinely insane people can't admit this lol
Idk if Dricus "gave up" but he seemed to have accepted he didn't have a path to victory after about midway through the 2nd round

Yeah to me, it looks worse on Dricus. He would rather surrender the belt calmly than go out guns blazing, which speaks to his character as a fighter.

Khamzat would have been talked about a lot different this morning if DDP tried to get out of the positions because Khamzat would have subbed him in the 1st round.
I’m almost certain that if that had happened, most of these people would’ve called it a fluke and maintain that Khamzat cannot go five rounds.

It was his most dominant decision win he's had wtf lol if Dricus was better, the fight would have been better.

If he did more than accept full defense mode, the fight would have been better.
I don't find hugging somebody for 25 minutes without any strikes or submissions to be particularly dominant. That's just annoying.

It's on Dricus to stop it, but don't pretend it didn't suck ass.

I honestly wasn't a fan of GSP because yeah, he did have a lot of boring fights. You can still respect a guy's skill while saying he's a boring fighter to watch.

He threw strikes dude. Don't go along with a stupid narrative to make yourself look ridiculous.
If DDP would have made the attempts to not play Dan Hardy, he would have been finished in the 1st round and he accepted that fate early on in the fight.

If anyone isn't mad at DDP for that performance, their bias is beyond silly.

A clinic on how to be a blanket, sure
<Fedor23>

Sure. But you can't argue that the performance Khamzat put on wasn't something impressive. Call it being a blanket, lay n prey, or whatever, but dominating is dominating. DDP couldn't do anything to Chimaev on the ground & by the looks of it I don't think anyone at 185 would be able to do anything as well.

Nothing to cry about, it was shit.

Those people are silly.

DDP couldn't stop the takedown and is very durable. Khamzat was trying to finish. It was boring due to those factors but that's how things play out sometimes

who watches fights for lay and prey though? I bet Dana is pissed.

Even in Georges most notoriously "boring" fights, he built to big elbow shots and submission attempts.

Take 2 mins, click thru the Dan Hardy fight on youtube. Georges is attacking with subs and advancing all fight. His coaches famously tell him to slow down and not pass. To build it.

If it was up to me, the fight would get started in the same position it ended, round after round.

It's MMA, it's about what works.
If people only want entertainment, change the name from UFC to UEC (ultimate entertainment championship)

(I was rooting for Dricus)

Exactly, both share blame for the fight being uneventful. Khamzat definitely could’ve been more aggressive chasing the finish but Dricus was also way too defensive to not get finished. Way she goes.
