Pennington got robbed. Rogan and co. delusional

I was thinking the samething too... Cliching does not score point if you're just holding and hugging your opponent without throwing a single punch.

I will forever like Holly, the nice lady who send pillsbury dough girl packing, but she did nothing to win the fight.

As I was watching, I had Rogan and the rest of the team telling me how Pennington was losing, but what I saw was Holly doing fuck all in the clinch while Pennington was landing knees on her consistently. These were good strikes too, as Holly was forced to break away after taking them, on at least 2 occasions.

The stats support this as well: Pennington outlanded Holly 38-30 and her strikes were far better. WTF is this shit? I feel like I’m on crazy pills.
The only people robbed in that fight were those of us dumb enough to watch it in it's entirety.

I scored it 29-28 in the favor of Holly (I am her big fan but I really think she won two rounds).

I'm not going to explain why the sky is blue.

14 of 14 media scores had Holm winning. An 8 strike differential in a fight in which none of the strikes landed dealt any sort of damage is irrelevant.

Holm wins that fight in an octagon, on the street, in a boxing ring, outer space, etc.

Media scores are not an argument. Your only argument, that no damage was dealt, is clearly false since Pennington had Holm giving up positions and disengaging on several occasions after eating a knee or a series of lnees. The only one not doing damage was Holm.

The real problem here is that MMA judges (and media, fans) have a headhunting bias; any kind of body work is routinely ignored unless it instantly folds the opponent. Pennington’s knees were the only significant strikes landed in this relatively uneventful fight.

It was a dogshit fight. Nobody got robbed because nobody deserved to win it.

Thankfully i didn't see the fight.
Holly is the queen at throwing air-punches, don't know if she was like that in this fight obviously. However most of her fights i've seen she throws lots of volume but is just too scared to move a few inches closer to her opponent so they're always short. Very frustrating.
