Lets say an athlete cares about speed and reflex and doesnt care about strength. Will steroids would still increase those traits also? Trying to wrap my head around why people would risk popping.

I don't know, but you are an Oregonian sherbro so I'm cool with you.

Marijuana improves speed and reflexes, that’s why it’s banned in competition. #banthediazbrothersforlife

Thats kind of why Im wondring why so many fighters pop for roids. When there are other things a fighter can take. I can do out of comp working out with THC and notice the benefits. So why do they risk using the banned stuff?

PED's only make you bigger and stronger if you do a lot of strengthtraining.
The reason why people use em is because you recover much faster after trainingsessions, wich allows you to train harder and more.
So if you use that extra training time for speed and agility training, you will benefit from it, without becoming some musclefreak.

That is not exactly true. I can not find the source now, but I read in the nineties, that one group was given some sort of testosterone preparate, And didn’t train, and the other group was lifting weights a few days a week. The guys not training still had muscle growth 4 times as big as the guys lifting.

Yup it helps with both. The chemist for BALCO said being on PEDs was like being in the zone at all times.

People on PED's, aside from the obvious benefits of building more muscle, can just train and recover significantly better. Your workouts are more intense, and you don't need as much time to recover between workouts. Because of that, PED's can give a significant advantage in all aspects of physical performance.

yes cause most all peds help people recover better so they can work out more.

Yes. They can ABSOLUTELY improve those. However, your speed and reflexes are biological limited. You can never surpass what genetics has given you. Steroids can help you get to that limit faster though. When it comes to elite speed and reflexes, you either have it or you dont.

In essence, Conor despite being smaller will NEVER, EVER have the speed and reflexes of Mayweather or someone like Roy Jones JR. Even if he took every steroid he could find.

Inb4 a lot of forum experts (aka 14yo virgins who would faint at the sight of a needle) taking wild guesses at it.

Wait, no - would have already been too late at post #2.

what, why risk popping??? they are peds and they enhance perfomance drastically.

you can train speed. reflexes I'm not so sure... thats more mind training. But the movement to get out of the way can still be trained to be faster.

you can train harder and longer, so yes.

Stimulants increase speed and reflex. Steroids help with muscle building and strength.

not sure if you're trolling or not but it could be true.

maryj helps you feel relaxed. when you're calm and relaxed, you're faster and quicker to react.

might be wrong but who knows.

one word: RECOVERY

There are thousands of different anabolic androgenic steroids, most were developed in 60s. The effects can differ quite a lot from compound to compound. There are some with high anabolic activity that put on lots of mass, like anadrol, and there are some that have a very androgenic effect, like halotestin, that won't make gain much if any mass at all, but will give incredible strength gains.

Halotestin, methyltren, cheque drops etc. steroids being used by fighters and strength athletes to instantly increase strength, speed, aggression with no weight gain. The nervous system controls your reflexes. Many AAS affects the nervous system and the above compounds probably has the biggest effect.
