Tech PEB's Motion Simulator thread {Worlds Best Driving Simulator for 10 years got an entirely new version}

The other project I was looking into is project north star the 100 degree augmented reality headset. This looks really good because the parts are hard to come by for this thing.

This 239 dollar kit comes with all the hard to get parts like the lens, the driver board and the LCD panels and the various other parts. Just thought I would share this I have to put this on the back burner for now while I work on the motion simulator.

Technically this is superior in optical viewing angle then the 3,500 dollar Halolens and the 2500 dollar magic leap. The biggest thing you give up is transparency of the objects still as you see in the video is still really good in fact comparable to Microsoft while offering nearly double the field of view then the Halolens.

If you don't have a 3D printer you can buy the parts printed for 180

This requires additional hardware the Intel realsense camera to track in 6Dof space.

Running NoLimits coaster simulation on my Simulator pretty nice but not as aggressive as I would have liked.

Finishing up wiring illuminated momentary switches to light up. Soon hooking to the microcontroller. I am waiting for additional colors. Serious time delay lol.

Yeah programmed my steering wheel hub microcontroller with Arduino IDE to allow it to feed and send data back to the PC. Also to utilize the encoders as well as momentary switches.

I turned the camera sideways to film and I guess Facebook did not like that one.

Need buttons to come in to finish it. Did not realize there was a button shortage lol. Then I have to order knobs for my encoders.

Hate when rich people with unlimited funds show off their gear lol but he did not design his stuff I have that on him. lol But that belt tightener looks pretty good to implement. Another thing he is limited to 6 inches of travel on his actuators mine right now is set at 14 inches can go as high as 19 inches but he does have traction loss that I will have eventually with money and time to develop the lower platform. Oh his screen does not move with the platform unlike mine meaning he bought his extrusion aluminum platform where I built my own. Pointing out the differences.
