Sounds like it will be Bundu, but if it is, why haven't they announced it? Im hoping it they are still looking for bigger name opponents.

It's going to be a great fight weekend. Saturday August 20 is Conor vs Nate 2, and then Sunday I'd Spence vs TBA

WHY PBC WHy you have to do this? After putting on an amazing Thurman/Porter card

as if Spence/Algieri didnt do bad enough on NBC, we now get Spence vs a much lesser known name on NBC next. I know its a title eliminator but let Spence headline a Spike card, or let him co-head a Garcia fight or the Deontay card.

On a small amphitheater in Coney Island (which is extremely far for tourists), where capacity is only a few thousand.

The venue is all the way at the edge of Brooklyn, over an hour away from Manhatten...... you are better off just having a local DiBella card with Brooklyn natives.

Well, if Spence is going to be a future opponent of Thurman or Porter... and if Thurman and Porter just fought.... why not take a fight against Bundu?

Spence needs building. He's just now starting to get some attention from fans so they will have him knock around a few no hopers to get fans talking about potential fights.

On prime time NBC thats already suffering from ratings?

I'm not sure Bundu is the best choice. He bruised Thurman up pretty bad, he might be a guy who is difficult to look good against.

He will knock Bundu out within 7

Upset for the lolz please.

Edit: in all seriousness, the experience can't hurt him though. Collazo's experience and craftiness taught Thurman a thing or two, like those body shots received.
Let's not forget that that Bundo is only Spence's 21st fight, Porter's 21st fight was a draw against Julio Diaz. So stop putting the pressure on spency, he's growing, atleast Bundou is is 33-1 with his only lose a decision against Thurman!

Look at the bright side though, after this there's a really strong chance he'll become the mandetory for the Kell Brook/Vargas winner. So stop whining.

Considering how much trouble Thurman had, Bundu would make it close

Porter is way stronger with a way better chin. He doesn't take those counter shots

Will make a nice statement when Spence puts his lights out.

They can build Spences name on a primetime network for a cheap price. Only makes sense to put him on NBC, where he'll get the most eyes on him and not on spiketv

Spence already made a statement by being the first guy to stop Algieri who withstood Pacquiao and Provodnikov

Not cheap. Its about $2 million an hour on primetime NBC.

Not to mention PBC is under deep scrutiny for having the lowest primetime sports ratings in NBC history just 2 weeks ago.

Look who was fighting 2 weeks ago. No one was gonna watch that.
Also Its cheaper to pay Spence-Bundu than it is Garcia-Guerrero

Spence/Bundu is definitely cheapter, and its in a tiny venue. Its deserving of a Spike card.

Both Mannix and Big Dan confirmed that NBC is on the verge of dropping PBC with these ratings.

They can sell boxing to NBC on a card by card basis.
Thats how they should be doing business with all the prime time networks.
Approach with a card, talk $ and throw some god damn promotion behind it.

Boxing did get alot of coverage on ESPN last Saturday, so interest is building.
