this reminds me a bit of rampage back in the day, when he was top of the heap and basically refused to fight teixera. big scary guy who practically no one knew, i mean it makes sense.
 
Jon may fight Stipe and retire, that what he's been saying.

At this point of Jones life and career, he’s not gonna carry some unknown dude. It will take a big name like Stipe or Ngannou.
 
If Jon won't fight Pavlovich: And Jailton smokes Rozenstruick, the UFC should do Pavlovich vs Jailton for Interim belt in July. Put the ball in Jon's court, unify or retire. I think most would assume Jones would retire but I highly doubt he has the money saved up to retire after all his legal fees & dope binders.

I'm from a massive urban city and I live in a predominantly black neighborhood buddy lol. Just happen to be born the United States so I cheer for fighters from my home country just like brazilians do for their guys and gals. Respect broski but I'm not backwoods

yea it is. Dan Henderson had a wrestling background, so good he was an Olympic alternate and look at how shit his takedown defense is. just because somebody has a background in something doesn't mean they're gonna be any good at it in a fight.
 
People here don't seem to understand that Jones doesn't get to pick who he fights, no matter what he says publicly. UFC chooses, and they're choosing Stipe to tie up loose ends and make the most money. It literally has zero to do with Jones wanting to test himself against "the greatest HW of all time." Idk how you guys don't understand this.

Jon is fighting for legacy. Jones beating Pavlovich does nothing for his legacy. If he beat Pavlovich then people will still say he didn't fight someone like Stipe. Stipe is the most decorated UFC HW. Stipe is still ranked number 2 next to Gane. Stipe isn't fighting because he only wants title fights. He is still kind of salty that he didn't get the immediate rematch against Francis.

what fucking legacy? He got popped for steroids twice and is known to have had a significant size advantage at LHW with two questionable victories over Gus and Dom when the advantage was nullified.

Noone is giving him credit for beating Gane or Stipe . He needs to fight a real contender, until then at least 50% of the MMA community will never accept him as GOAT or P4P or else.

This would be a hilarious scenario, especially considering that the UFC mostly took care of Jon and his consistent fuck ups, but the guy comes off as ungrateful and entitled. It would be a fitting change for the UFC and DW to actually exercise some type of meritocracy for anything other that dollars and buys. Yeah, I know that would never happen, going to have to rest hope that Stipe brings down the gavel of karma on Jon Jon.
