I fuckin loved this movie. Go watch it for yourself. Don’t let these YouTube channels that make their money on stoking these dumb culture wars sway you.
There’s certainly topical political/social issues in this movie. But it’s used more as a backdrop than it’s saying anything about it one way or another. It’s dark and funny and of course beautifully shot.

I stumbled into the theater tonight and watched this. Kinds went in blind didnt have any expectations or hype and to be honest i was blown away.

Really good. One of the best movies ive seen in a while and i watch alot of movies.

Didnt care for the political under tones and stuff but im able to get past that stuff. Its just expected with hollywood movies at this point. But yeah it was pretty bad i can imagine some people will hate it because of that.

The character played by Sean Penn, basically an ICE stooge, is so far right that I think they where trying to make satire but the problems is that these wack jobs with these types of jobs do act like this so it is impossible to even do satire.

This x1000.

The villains were supposed to look like caricature, just like the French 75 are incompetent and ultimately pointless and weak terrorists.

But then you got people like Hegseth and Stephen Miller in the real world and what was supposed to be satire when the story was written becomes on the nose criticism. It's not really to blame on the writers but in the end it still kind of detracts a little from the movie experience.

Great film though, easily 8.5-9.

The people saying this movie is good are doing a great job making it seem terrible.

I had it marked down as a liberal masturbatory aid and I’ve been vindicated once again.

Do you also consider the book a liberal masturbatory aid?

I liked it though I found the beginning rough, I wasn't sure what was going on and why, what the movie was going for, I was totally off balance. Perfidia and Lockjaw confused me and still does. I might give 'er a rewatch when it hits video.

It's a movie that took me awhile to digest though it became clear to me after awhile that it's a somewhat grounded absurdist tale that has some seriousness to it without being totally serious.

When I was watching it I wanted the who / what / when / where / why / how on the revolutionaries, their purpose was unclear to me and I marked that against the movie initially but upon reflection I think that is the point. They are too wild and don't really seem to accomplish much and the mature ones who are organized and actually doing anything noteworthy are in the background, like Deandra and Sergio. But again, I'll have to rewatch.

Anyway, I'd say it's good with great moments, I'm not as high on it as others but it's solid. The ending of the car chase and the tension through that was great. Leo is excellent, he plays a good "Dude".

Looks like a polished turd.
I saw some of the movie and I hated it because the girl is...........
