Who are you to say how happy he 'should be' in certain situations? He feels how he feels. What if he had no eyes or no penis, should he be just as happy as he would with eyes and a penis? The relevant fact that you are ignoring is the empirical link between hairline and MMA fighter success which means that this transplant is vital for his future earnings and the security of his progeny.
Google says return to working 2-5 days. They’re probably not referring to this line of work though.

I am not saying he's depressed. I'm sure he's happy.
Thinking he can be even more happy with that procedure? It's nonsense. I'm sure his brain will convince him that is the case but that doesn't mean that he can be just as happy with or without the procedure. He could be just as happy with the procedure or with both legs amputated and a cancer diagnosis.
