Economy Party of less government spending wants 1.5 trillion military budget

Well I see the tariff thing is going great.

"More than 1,000 companies are reportedly suing the Trump administration over tariffs and demanding refunds, the Bloomberg reported on Thursday. A Chinese expert said as the US Supreme Court is set to make a ruling on the legality of these tariffs, the situation has highlighted the tariff's disruptive impacts on US economy." Global times (China)

Its pay wall.

I know its a Chines source so... But they are using Bloomberg article as their souce.
Since its free to read I will put it here

We already have a 1 trillion dollar budget for military, Trump wants a whopping 50% increase to that for next year. Fuck the deficit and debt I guess?

Republicans have consistently been worse about the deficit than the “tax and spend” democrats for a long while now. I don’t get how Republicans still have the messaging out there that they’re conservative with government spending.

Military industrial complex printing themselves more money.
Same shit in yurrp because but but pputin

This is a problem. Military spending has all sorts of areas we need to address for cuts.
  • Redundant programs
  • programs that the military doesn't even want, but Congress votes for to their members' benefits
  • massive excesses (not on personnel, but again on weapon systems)
  • ship maintenance and builds because retired admirals want to profit, and they don't follow any decent Project Controls

I really don't want to hear about increased spending until these massive billions in unneeded spending are dealt with. This is a failure by the Trump administration.

In Russia, military spending was for decades just a way to reroute money to oligarchs.

You think it's any different in the US?

uhhhhh first they pass the tarriff costs on to the consumer and now they want to get paid again?

these are the same corporations who have done every trick in the book to fuck the consumer in the ass at the checkout counter ever since covid hit and now they just want to use the tarriffs as their next big shiny excuse to line their pockets some more.

will they be taking the money from the lawsuits and giving the money to the customers who bought their products with the marked up price tags? no? then fuck off.

and besides, even if they win they ain't gonna see a dime from deadbeat debtor don anyways. in the end they're just more contractors that will get stiffed by trump.

It's probably not a whole lot different. I have real issues with military spending. Clearly, there is a lot of waste, abuse, and likely downright fraud.
