He doesn't train in between camps. Wink gave statements saying that he barely trains for some of his fights. In a recent interview, Rashad mentions Jones also parties during camp. Jones admits coming into training high all the time and blacking out during camp. He has been fighting once a year maybe twice on a good year. If he has one camp a year? He is training for 2-3 months a year while drinking and getting high?
He can take steroids but he isn't maximizing the usage. He is too busy sabotaging himself but he always finds a way to win. The way he is been fucking up and winning. He obviously believes God is on his side.

One of the things that the people who constantly point out his faults will never understand is that the reason some people refuse to dislike Jon Jones at this stage isn't because he's seen as some kind if hero to degenerates, or a master criminal bad boy type... Its because he's so incredibly human and igs so easy to imagine the money, the fame, the adulation, and the partying going to your head and taking you down roads you once were against...

Its a funny thing, having and accepting mental issues, and problems with addiction... One moment you're the king of the world, and then a couple of bad days happen and your life is in the shitter with everyone around you either disappointed in your or gloating at your failures... And then you end up absorbing that energy ad letting it manifest into a caricatured version of who you once were...

It doesn't matter your professional field, your personality type (to a point), your age, race, sexuality, or whatever...This kind of meltdown can happen to anyone at any time that isn't on top of themselves, and with good people they respect around them...There are bad apples and seeds everywhere, but I've been through so much in my own life that I can't judge another man on his demons, albeit there are unsavory aspects there, this i can't deny... I just hate to see potential squandered for nothing, and I still have some (probably fantastic) hopes about him making a comeback and doing well, but yeah... I dunno... I guess my point is glass houses.

Its that feeling of everyone constantly being on at you, reminding you that you're supposed to be being a better person, doing this, not doing that... The pressure of trying to go clean, fucking up, trying to keep that under wraps, people close to you tugging on the heart strings and tweaking your buttons when you're high...

Bro, I'm neither saying it's OK, or that I've crossed that line, but God knows I've been in situations where I've thought about it, and I've acted like an enormous prick at some of my lowest moments... Luckily I've been reasonably able to turn my issues to my advantage, and I hope the same for him too

In all your posting I've never gotten a sense that you were a narcissist or psychopath or that your whole life was about justifying you, and looking out for you. You seem to be a person who considers others in a way I don't believe is an option for Jon Jones.

I see Jon like how I see philes (minus the philia). There are probably really sad moments of lack or of hurt and disassociation that produces humans like that. s are typically ppl who were molested at a young age. Typically. I'm sure Jon missed out on some input or affect that would have made him more capable of considering the plight of others more than he is. But whatever combinations of things made him into the narcissist he seems to be - he doesn't seem to be able to truly consider others' feelings and experiences the way most humans can, any more than the is able to truly weigh that child's whole future as more important and urgent than his momentary sick pleasure.

Some ppl are just fucked. It's sad, yes. But you can give them a million chances and they'll only need one more. Until you give them one more, and they'll still only need one more.

In the meantime, there's a ton of collateral damage. I like the old Jon as a fighter (he's become pretty boring recently) but it's hard to imagine a world where Jon seems able to consider and care for others like "normal" ppl do. Some ppl are just perma-broken and only old age cools them off if they get there. And some stay perma-broken into old age. There are old men who are still looking for children to utterly destroy. I hope Jon cools off in old age but in the meantime I just feel for the poor souls who linked their karma to his because they will always be lacking.

I've known a few narcissistic psychopaths, or similar personality types, even some "good" ones. But their kids suffer. Their parent cannot possibly care for them properly. It's not an option for them. Stuff gets missed. There are always, and will always be, holes in their love that cannot be patched up. And that goes for all of us, but more so for children and loved ones of narcissistic psychopaths, or similar personality types.
