This may be one of the few tournaments where you can actually find an opponent in that type of division.

adult galo purple belt. im actually thinking about doing brown belt instead though. only two people there right now. i dont plan on doing anymore jiu jitsu tournaments after this, so i might as well give that a shot.
For those of you who have done IBJJF, how early do I want to be? Half an hour, an hour? My division is the first of the day.
Good luck guys, bring home some medals. Actually, given the number of senior and masters division guys we have, medals are guaranteed![]()
Boise, is the NWSC worth doing for a featherweight purple? Phoenix Open is that same weekend and I can't decide which to do.
Which gym do you train at in LA? Are you competing, PM if ya want...
I train at John Machados, but I haven't competed at the Pan Ams since blue belt. Too busy with kids/job. I was hoping I might at least get the chance to go down to see some matches, but I doubt I can even get the time for that. If I do, it'd be for the black belt matches.
I'll be at the Phoenix open. Just a FYI, the skill level in AZ is very high and you will definelty get some good matches. At feather purple you could run into former champ Isaac Doderlein, Abu Dhabi comp Issa Able, others usually there: Broadnax twins, Johnny Munoz, Jacob Sandoval etc...
Are most of GD's upper belts sponsored? I was watching some southwest classic/phoenix open matches and it seemed all his purple belts were all NASCARed up.
Who's going to the pans from sherdog this year?
I'll be going for the first time.
