Panic - Exhibit A: Conor. (Is there any doubt left that Ronda handled her loss better?)

Rousey-
(before loss):
-kind of an unsportsmanlike bitch, but a dominant champ
(after):
-has kept quiet, done some neutral appearances for press etc
-still looked good in SI swimsuit issue
-kept her promise to attend Marine Ball

McGregor
(before loss):
-admittedly a hilarious and talented fighter
-lots of respect for his cerebral approach to the fight game
-master at promotion and hyping fights to generate $$
-had always been game before
(during/after UFC 196):
-became a panic wrestler, ironically
-classy at post fight press conference at first
AND THEN....
- cried wolf at retirement in a panic
- flip flopped a day later because though he can dish it out at press conferences, he apparently can't take it
- makes statement using thinly veiled excuses of promtional obligations being the reason he lost/could lose, even though he has always ate those opportunities up before and lost to a guy who had almost NO preparation for their fight

Who's handled it better? Discuss.

McGregor handled it significantly better. He admitted that he fucked up in his training, which is what everybody has been saying, Diaz included, and that he wants to focus more on the training and fighting than the press bullshit. You know, that thing that everybody who hates on McGregor has been saying he should be doing instead of trash talking at press events. There really is no pleasing some people.

The last few days we've seen more stupid threads started than the last two months combined.

Hell no.

Ronda lost to someone who she was preparing for in her own weight class.
Ronda literally ran away and called herself the champion after weeks of silence, telling interviewers that they could not ask her about fighting, when she is a fighter. She then went on crying about the only reason she did not commit suicide is because she wanted to have children with Travis.

Conor took Nate as a new opponent and had never fought in the UFC outside of featherweight. Sure, Nate was on short notice too but there is a considerable difference in how training for RDA and training for Nate will go.

Conor McGregor credited Nate shortly post fight and claimed that there are things he needed to work on. He then demanded a rematch with the guy who just beat him. Where is Ronda? Probably fighting Meisha Tate next before Holm.

How could Ronda have handled her loss better when she's still unseen in the media, not training and have no fights scheduled. She completely disappeared off the face of the earth. We don't even know if she's coming back.

McGregor on the other hand has a fight booked and just wants to train in peace.

Ronda didn't make a big spectacle crying retirement when she was supposed to headline the biggest card ever in a few months

Well tbh Ronda didn't handle it at all. It was weeks before she said anything to anybody. Then that bullshit message on SNL.

But, in all honesty. I'd say not handling it at all was better than the way Conor has handled it. And yet his huggers still don't see that they are nothing but dollar signs to him.

How does a person have so little self esteem as to willingly be played as a pawn ?

Wants to train in peace so he attention whores with retirement tweets? I don't think so...

Conor asked for a rematch immediately and got back to training and Ronda went into isolation and suicidal. So yeah I guess you're right?

He was bustling at Media Promotions when he was facing FWs and winning. The moment he lost to a LW who he specifically picked out of the line up...he got choked and claimed it was energy inefficiency...and now it's not, it's because of the Media overload which he thoroughly enjoyed over the span of his career in the UFC and now tries to make this all out like he's a victim....and cries to his fans along with his trainer...Drama queen spotted. At least Ronda just looked defeated.

Thinking about suicide is taking it better?

Thats my point, he should just shut up and train then. Do the press obligations when you have to but they certainly are part of the job at this level (they are literally in the contracts)

Ronda has never rematched Holly though? So your point is invalid. It is not nearly the same thing.

Ronda disappeared with a pillow on hear head and has yet to resurface. I think we can safely say she handled it worst. Conor's recent debacle may be verging on the ridiculous but at least he's actually training.
