Paige VanZant overmatched again?

Bec Rawlings is like a giant goon compared to Paige, size-wise.
 
She's fighting a 115 pound woman with 2 kids. How easy do you want it to be?
 
Think it could well come down to cardio, paige as energy for days, Bec is a natural 125lb'er and the cut is tough on her and she does have a tendancy to gas.

A lot could actually depend on the ref. We know Bec hits hard, but we also know Paige can take punishment, but if its one of those refs that stop things as soon a woman bleeds Bec could pull it off.

If page can get the takedown and maintain control is the only way i really see her winning. Bec's better boxer and heavier....... But on a serious note if Bec loses to a member of Alpha Male does Dom kick her out of Alliance haha
 
Rawlings could bang it out on the feet, maybe rough her up a bit but could see Paige grind her out on the ground. I don't think Bec is that good but she's game I guess, decent test for PVZ.
 
Bec gassed in 1 round against an atomweight in her last fight. PVZ will take a beating in the first round, which she proved she can withstand, and then secure rd 2 and 3.

I don't like Bec Rawlings, but she is without question the more skilled fighter, so yes .. I think Paige is over matched.

Bec is also a more aggressive striker than Rose, so I wouldn't be surprised to see an early TKO victory for Bec.
 
Bec Rawlings has one tko win on her regard against a no namer. Don't really see her being a big threat to anyone. Don't really care to be honest. If Paige vanzant is ranked 10th, that really shows you the depth of the strawweight division.

Or it shows you how shitty the rankings are. Page should not be a top ten ranked fighter. She beat a fringe top ten, then beat someone even lower-ranked. Her ranking makes no sense. Neither does the current ranking of Rose N, for example.

True, but there's also nobody to fill the spots. No legit competition at all in that division

I guess it depends on how you define legit competition. Plenty of the women have extensive experience outside of MMA, as well as their MMA credentials. But do not let the world champions get in the way of denigrating their accomplishments and performance.
 
I have money on Bec so I hope so.

Also think that PVZ just like his male version Sage Northcutt will be retired in a couple of years.

Realistically, Paige would likely have a rough time with most of the top fifteen (while being ranked tenth herself), so bec is about as low as you can give her without making it obvious.
 
I don't think it's a gift matchup for PVZ. Bec has good side for the division, is likely stronger, has better boxing, a decent clinch, and has more power.

PVZ has better cardio, better wrestling, pushes a great pace, and a good top game. That said her TD variety itself varies. Sometimes she actually chain wrestles and can change levels, other times she looks one dimensional repeatedly going to the head and arm throw. She's going to have to mix it up or she will get her back taken and roughed up by Bec.

It'll test what PVZ's been improving after refocusing on MMA.
