Football players leave it all on the field too. Did you see all the Super Bowl MVPs limp out onto the field at the Super Bowl this year? It was terrible. Almost every single one of them walked like they were 75 years old, even the guys in their 40s. They are have irreparable brain damage as well, and many of them suffer horrendous mental illlness.
But, they line up across from their friends and hit each other every game. Those guys all know each other, that's why they hang out after games in the middle of the field. It is part of their chosen profession to hit people with the intent to do harm, and they do serious harm every single game.
No they don't, in the Super Bowl Cam Newton was on a drive late in the 4th qtr down by one possession and fumbled the ball. He saw the loose ball and instead of jumping in the Frey he stepped back. That's not leaving it all on the field.
