2. Steve Mazagatti

This guy gets heat because he doesn’t tolerate bullshit. You can’t fucking hit a guy in back of the head. Steve is the perfect combination of rules and ruggedness. Only he can pull off that mustache.


3. Josh Rosenthal

Considered by many the best referee in MMA prior to his jail sentence, he would be higher on the list but only recently returned. He still remains high on the list because he is cool as shit.


4. Herb Dean

He is basically the face of MMA referees today since Big John stepped down as a referee and is taking the post fight interview world by storm. Herb has his days, but he is a solid referee who lets big fights go and doesn’t try to become the focal point of the fight by getting annoying like Big Dan tends to do. He also has a cool name, and is a former fighter. He knows the fight game.


5. Marc Goddard

Another former fighter who is solidifying himself as the British Big John. He got heat from Jon Anik, but fuck Jon Anik’s opinion. Marc will move up this list in time.


6. Mike Beltran

Seriously? How the fuck did he grow that?


7. The guy who reffed the Aspen vs. Yana fight on Saturday.
