O’Malley vs Sandhagen

Very interesting fight. Bantamweight is full of interesting matchups. I'm salivating thinking of all the great matchups that can be made.

I favor Cory slightly. It's 60:40 for me. Suga has power but Cory is more versatile.

It's a great matchup, you could also match either guy with Chito for the next title eliminator.
Suga/Chito 2 probably makes the most sense tho since neither guy have fought Aljo yet and are both on winning streaks.

I would add Merab into the mix, but I'm really not interested in seeing him possibly knocking off top ranked guys if he has no intention fighting for a title with Aljo as champion.

Merab is such a headache. Keep beating up contender but have no intention to fight Aljo. Somebody have to stop him.

Sean is a bit more pinpoint from range. Sandhagen slices folks up mid range with hellbows and knees.

Guaranteed bloodshed in that one. Fun match up.

I think the UFC are pretty pissed on how he reacted after the Aldo win with the that post-fight interview, even moreso considering he just retired one of their biggest stars from Brazil in a very lackluster fight.
That's mainly the UFC's fault IMO considering they made that fight at high elevation where it'll be detrimental to an older Aldo who has been knowned to slow down later in fights at sea level, also giving TJ the shot over Aldo which many disagreed with and knowing prior to this bout that Merab has no intention on fighting Aljo.

Anyways, Merab will be given a harder low ranked matchup next like a Ricky Simon rematch because of those reasons already mentioned.

I have a feeling O'Malley will struggle with a good fighter with his height/reach. Sandhagen wrecks him.

O'Malley does have the reach/power/striking advantage. I think Sandhagen's iron chin and stamina will get O'Malley withered in the later rounds, especially if it is a 5 rounder.

I don´t mind that stuff at all. If teammates don´t want to fight teammates, that´s normal. Merab will just keep killing it until Aljo loses, and then try to avenge him, or he won´t even make it to the TS. Either way, he´s giving us fun fights and has an interesting style (and is an interesting match-up for a lot of people). That´s all that matters to me.

Good fight but hardly makes any sense. O'Malley just beat the #1 contender. Cory is 1 - 2 in his last 3. Also, I'd favor Sean just because Cory never wins the big fights. #1 contender fight with Aljo, #1 contender fight with TJ, interim belt vs Yan.
