As the title says - money is no real issue but I'm wanting to know if it's really worth purchasing the XBone, especially with UC:4 soon to be released and the eventual release of Tomb Raider later this year.

Have been toying with the idea for a few months and I'm still stuck on the fence as I have a decent gaming rig and a Wii U also. The recent (or should I say sustained) outages and general functionality issues of PSN have been what's led me to this TBH, I'm hoping that the servers are better?

Anyone able to convince me for or against? Really want to avoid an impulse buy and be informed! :)

If money isn't an issue, you should just get a good PC rig instead. All Xbox one exclusives make their way to PC anyways.

Already have a relatively good gaming rig - pretty much answers the question for me though! :)

I own both so I can play exclusive titles. If no Xbox One exclusives interests you, Id recommend building a gaming PC.

Edit: You could always put more money into your PC.

Since you have a decent gaming rig I would say no. Phil Spencer just did a conference and said that the PC and XB1 are essentially going to share the same Windows 10 eco system. They ultimate plan is to have an XB1 with interchangeable upgrades rather then working on the next gen console.

I agree.

Now that even Forza is making its way to PC, as well as Quantum Break coming, I honestly wonder why anyone would get a X1 if they have a PC.

Few months ago I would have said go for it, now I honestly don't see why anyone would get one. (In the case of having a decent PC to go with it).

Reminds me of something my Dad said to me the first time we were in a store that was so freaking richie-rich they didn't even have price tags. I said, "How the hell are you supposed to know how much everything he costs?" He answered, "I imagine that if you have to ask that, then you can't afford it anyway."

Similarly: if you have to ask this question the answer is no.

I basically use mine for Forza 5, 6 and horizon 2.

If there exclusives you want to play and you want to play on a console vs pc (you can use a controller if you want on that as well)then get it.
