I'll kick this off by picking Frankie Edgar as being the most overrated fighter and also Gunni Nelson just pips Jorge Masvidal to the most underrated fighter in the UFC right now. Who do you all have?

Overrated Frankie Edgar

Underrated Gunni Nelson

Overrated - Max Holloway (best wins are Frankies leftovers)

Underrated - Makdessi or Bermudez.

Gus is overrated and underrated at the same time

Overrated - Hunt (I love him but he doesn't beat top competition anymore)

Underrated - Aldo (people have forgot how good he really is)

Overrated: Matt Brown... Exciting as hell, but check his resume. When given top tier competition, he falters. His win over Stephen Thompson came 2 years before Thompson reached the level he's at currently. His next best wins... Mike Pyle, Erick "Glass Jaw" Silva, and Tim Means. He's a very exciting journeyman gatekeeper. Nothing more.

Underrated: Kelvin Gastelum... Has a couple of disappointing SD losses and he can't make weight but he can end a fight at any time and he's better than at least 5 guys ranked ahead of him.

Overrated - Conor... the guy is still listed on the P4P lists and showed that pound for pound he can't beat a top 5 guy one weight class up.

Underrated - Lawler... he is never mentioned in the top 2 or 3 P4P discussion and I think he has the best recent resume of anyone, he also has the longevity and I think if he wanted to he could go up and beat Rockhold tomorrow. I hope he gets the GSP fight and puts himself in the context of the legends by beating Georges (nothing against GSP just like Lawler).

Can you expand upon Frankie being overrated?

I haven't forgot, he has a serious set of skills. Only he isn't very intelligent in looking after his brain, I've seen videos of Brazilian fighters punching each other to train their chins. They aren't the sharpest tools in the box over there.

He was 2-1-2 in his then last five fights going into his last title shot and lost.

He has his wrestling and his boxing fundamentals are okay but compare his skillset to Mighty Mouse and you'll see the difference between good and great.

He's a champion though and welterweight is 2 classes above featherweight, being an NBA fan is no excuse for the bad mathematics.

Jones has never fought someone 1 weight class up, nor has Aldo so your point is moot.

John Makdessi is tough but he's 5-5 in his last 10
Took a short notice fight against Cerrone but was on the wrong end of a gift decision vs. Medeiros, he would have beaten Trinaldo, definitely a guy that gets overlooked.

Delusional, Lawler already tried his hand at MW and he was never anything special. McGregor KO'd the guy who was atop the P4P list so he obviously deserves a place there. Rockhold would KILL Lawler.

That Cerrone fight was weird, Makdessi's jaw was visibly broken and he was still standing up lol

I'm an MMA fan and Nate is a 155er who wanted a catchweight because of short notice. Also Conor hasn't defended his title one time... and he's coming off a loss.

Overrated: Cruz... Champ of a relatively weak division and didn't beat Dillashaw in very convincing fashion

Underrated: RDA ... Aside from a relatively low damage loss to Khabib, he pretty much has tooled everyone he has fought on his current streak.

Conor's last fight was a loss. He hasn't defended his belt. The guy is a good fighter who is a product of hype and is overrated. Lawler did do well at MW but never had the discipline he does now.
