Don't be Surprised if overeem takes stipe down and wins via ground and pound or submission.

He can generate a lot of Power in his punches even in full guard.

Overeem has a lot of wins via submission.

Overeem Will Beat stipe.

Stipe is good enough to avoid the takedown.

He beat Struve and Rogers that way.. They aren't decorated wrestlers

Overeem could sneak a foot sweep in the break of a combo, he's been implementing that as of late.

Overeems BJJ is one of the most underrated strengths in the division.

We've never seen Stipe fight off his back and Overeem could hold him there soundly

I think if Stipe hurts Overeem which he probably will if he hits him, he wont let him off the hook.

Stipe has a wrestler base but we've seen him taken down by JDS, i wouldn't be surprised if Overeem throws him to the ground.

But at the end of the day i think Stipe has a better chin and he'll T/KO Overeem within 4.

This is what I mean. He has a lot of sub wins and overeem is very strong. He can just throw you on your back and maul you with hammers from the guard

Overeem does not have good enough takedowns to get Miocic to the mat. He will have to strike from the outside or get the fight into the clinch. Stay out of boxing range and avoid the pocket. Accrue points on the feet and maybe land a big KO strike if the opportunity arises.

that might be his gameplan, but he won't be able to execute it thats for sure.

i would guess reem eats leather and take an early nap regardless of what his plan is

Why, Overeem is probably the best technical striker HW on the planet. Took the fight down because of is chin?

He look real good vs AA and JDS who Imo got better hand than stipe...

Econoreem school Miocic...

But I could be wrong

So much this.

Don't be surprised if Overeem lulls him into a false sense of security on the feet, just to time a TD and change the complexion of the fight entirely

I wouldn't be surprised nor would I be surprised if Overeem Ko'd him.

Oveereem is the more dangerous fighter with more experience.

Miocic has a nice little fight with JDS while Overeem set him and destroyed him.

Patient-Reem is unstoppable.

He has great submissions, but that hasn't been his MO for a long time. His last submission win on the ground was 8 years ago. Anyone remember his last ground and pound win? (Just curious cause I can't remember it).

Would be impressive to see him go back to his ground game.

Overeem at the moment is most likely the better fighter, and only seems to be improving with game plans and patience. In his UFC fights he's never looked in any serious trouble, unless he takes a couple of clean ones to the chin. He's never been outstruck in the UFC, but is prone to being ko'd, and Miocic has good hands.

Hopefully Overeem will win, then I can have another trip to Amsterdam to watch him defend the belt.

Literally just rewatched Overeem vs. Junior, Rothwell and Browne in a row. So now I had very clear scenarios in my head as to how he can lose and win. He's a glass cannon and that's part of the fun in watching him fight. Some, if not the best, leg and bodykicks at HW, though.

Very similar to his last couple of fights IMHO, keep his distance and look to fight a slow tactical match.

My guess its its actually more likely Stipe will try and take Overeem down than the other way around.
