he def has had one of the most interesting MMA/fight careers out of the current crowd. he 40-14-1 in MMA and 11-4 in kickboxing. he is a threat to beat anyone but i dont know if i would call him the best even though he is a threat to every fighter in his division.

the number of fights overeem has is amazing though.

Lol we must have different definitions of recently because it was nearly 5 years ago when Overeem beat Wedum (7 1/2 years since loss to JDS) and since then Werdum has gone 6-0 winning the UFC Heavyweight Championship in the process while Overemm has been KOed 3 times since then.
