A standup with Stipe, I have a good feeling Overeem would win via bodykick.

He could do it along as he doesn't get overwhelmed by STIPE.

Like both guys, can't wait for this fight.

He definitely has a chance, but it's a tough one to call IMO. They're both experienced strikers, although I'd give Overeem a slight edge in that department. However, Stipe seems to be in better shape and is more durable.

Pick em fight.

Reems kicking / knees, against Stipes Boxing / wrestling.

Chin may be the difference in this fight though.

But I'm excited to see how it plays out.

I feel Stipe will take it to the ground, but not sure how he can deal with overeem, he's no slouch with his BJJ. I think the Muay Thai clinch will decide who's going to control who.

Completely agree. Now that jackson's has him fighting defensively he's putting his game together.

A guy as dangerous as Overeem will ALWAYS have a very real chance to win the strap.

So long as he protects that chin!

Lets wait for the UFC to give the f-ing titlefight to Cain. They love to give the fans fights they don't want to see.

Overeem has many, many more tools to win than Stipe. But his chin and Stipe's fist make this a toss up. I hope he wins, would be the icing on the cake to a legendary combat sports career.

I'd like to see an old fashioned reemotine

Pretty much it seems to me that on any given day any of the let's say top 5 HWs can be champion. The harder part seems to get a little streak going, making themselves worthy (marketable) and getting the nod to fight for the belt. Once in there it seems to become a coin toss. That being said, I think Overeem has a pretty solid chance on getting the belt if he fights Stipe.

A few years ago you'd have been laughed at around here for even describing the today's HW climate as possible.

Stipe needs to just constantly throw a front kick whilst edging slowly towards Overeem.

I'm going with Overeem but it's so close. I think Overeem finishes him with a knee or kick to the body.

It would follow the same formula as most of his other important UFC fights. He would beat Stipe early before being caught and put away.

I got Stipe in this fight, he is too fast for Overeem, will land at will. I think Overeem will last longer than Werdum, simple because he will be tentative and afraid to exchange, but he will probably eventually get dropped in 2nd round and be exhausted at that point.

What fights of Overeem/s have guys been watching ..Hes better now yes ...But only if he don't get hit .. Just like Lesnar, Great till he gets tagged and Stipe will tag him .Hes boxing is way too accurate
