Over/Under Gracie/Shamrock 3 has more viewers than Hendricks/Thompson?

Ppl can talk shit all they want about this being a circus fight (which it really is) but be real and know that there's a big possibility that it gets good to great ratings. This is why the UFC needs to not underestimate Coker and be mindful of which free agents he picks up.

Well that 6'5" Zangief looking mofo from MMAFighting.com said on a recent podcast that Gracie vs. Shamrock 3 is attracting more traffic than any Bellator event ever, including Dynamite and Kimbo vs. Shamrock, so it has a very good chance of beating a third tier UFC show in ratings. Wouldn't be surprising at all, more expected than anything.

Just as examples, if Bellator put on Bendo vs Brooks with Fedor vs Tito as co-main, you don't think that helps Bendo/Brooks earning potential? More viewers = more money in the long run.

It's called time. The man built SF on the shoulders of Le and Frank Shamrock. If it wasn't for his HW tourney, nobody but hardcore fans would've cared about Rousey, Rockhold, DC, Jacare, Diaz, Lawler, etc. Look at how many fighters are doing well in the UFC that came from SF. He built or rejuvenated some of those names above. Don't forget that.

Over. Most tune in to watch names they know over unknown top fighters. That's just the reality in any sport. But it doesn't lead to anywhere for Bellator. Old guys can't be used frequently and they won't make title runs.

I think it'll get more viewers. But their objective should've been to use these named fighters and circus fights as an attraction to showcase some lesser known but talented fighters. But the rest of the card is pretty much garbage from what I've been hearing.

So essentially it's a missed opportunity for them.

They should allow Gracie to wear his Judo Gi. That's how he won his fights in the early days of UFC. He fought Ken twice with the GI on. Without the Gi there's no interest in watching that fight.
