Isn’t Last of Us like 15 years old or so? Came out on PS3. Eh, none of these finalists do it for me. I got bored of open world games and most Western titles don’t have fun gameplay to me. Probably Elden Ring from this list even though it’s not my favorite. If Dark Souls 3 and Bloodborne were here I’d vote them over Elden Ring. I’m actually surprised they lost to some of the games listed here. Also sad that Returnal and Astro Bot didn’t make it. My two favorite current gen games. Oh shit no Sekiro either! Can’t believe I forgot to mention my favorite From Software game. Damn how did some of these not make it. Sherdog you failed me

Bloodborne didn’t even lose. It was in the second elimination bracket and WON and yet didn’t move on to the semi-finals.

Um, excuse me, but I’m calling shenanigans on this entire tournament. Bloodborne won its bracket but wasn’t in the semi-finals? What the heck is going on here??

I took Bloodborne out because it's an expansion pack DLC. I just realized it when reading about it. But if you think it should be in there. I'll put it back for the Finals O/T.

My thing was not to add games that are expansions or DLC. But no big deal it will be in the next round. Sorry about the mix up.

I dont think its fair to count Last of Us being a remake. I havent played BG3 or Ghost.

I went with
-Witcher 3
-Cyberpunk 2077
-God of War

That's a fair point.

Well why didn’t you just put in Bloodborne instead of Bloodborne: the Old Hunters? Bloodborne came out in 2015.

Oh really, must of missed it. I thought it was before 2015. I'll add that instead. Sorry about that.

All the games in the list are awesome, though the Demon's Souls remaster borks too much of the OG's design.

My 3 votes in this are Witcher 3, Elden Ring and Cyberpunk, with CP #1.

I love the lore, can't get enough, and while Elden Ring's is just as compelling, it's done, and something we prob won't see built on, unless Nightreign is more than just some MP parallel world mishmash.

Cyberpunk's rich history from the table top and present/future from the games/anime/novels (live action too please) is being handled with the utmost reverence to the source material. The sequel is my most anticipated game ever.

This contest is about the existing games as they are currently, but a better future can be factored into ranking them.

Despite the awful start, and promised systems never implemented, what they gave us with 2.0+, and will surely add with teased updates, Cyberpunk is already a narrative masterpiece still being fleshed out. Coupled with super addictive gameplay that gives you plenty of different ways to approach encounters, along with stunning visuals/world building, it stands above the rest for me.
