I get that he's a big name but I don't think Jon is particularly the best choice for Tom to defend his title against.

Yeah it's becoming pretty clear that Jones doesn't really want to be HW champion and prove he's the best in the world.

At this point Jones vs Aspinall is way bigger than Jones vs Ngannou IMO.

I don't think many serious observers think that Ngannou is the best HW in the world anymore TBH. He arguably lost to Ciryl Gane in his last UFC fight then went 0-2 in boxing(and got absolutely flatlined).

Ngannou vs Jones would be a huge fight, obviously, or Ngannou vs Aspinall.

But Jones vs Aspinall is far and away the biggest fight to make in 2025 IMO.

I had to pick Poatan/Ank. I won't believe the Jones/Aspinall fight is taking place until the bell rings.

Retired Jones vs. teh young buck, haz too many excusez either way... but especially if Jonez failz.
That said... if Jonez pullz it off, then that's waaaaay more fascinating.
Sherdog will likely melt down... & god help their available bandwidth...

It waz a tough call between teh 2 fights.
