So my friends cousin is in town and I was going to treat her out to Buffalo Wild Wings and watch the fight there so I can impress her..heh....but since the card fell apart my excitement died out and decided to order Pizza and watch it at home.
It turns out she is not a Joe Rogan fan. She thinks that he is a Male shovunist and her mom also hates him. It was kind of cool because we talked about what we think is wrong with him and we laughed a lot. But anyway she said that she would only watch if I turn off the volume so we watched the fights without his commentary.
Now reading some of the threads here I am shocked and I am convinced that Rogans commentary has a big impact on people's opinions. Maybe even if judges overhear him they can be influenced.
During the fight, she said that she felt very sorry for AL and that they should stop the fight. She said why would they knowingly put him against someone that is obviously way better. I explained to her who Khabib was and told her about his fuzzy hat (lol) and that he is from Dagestan. We located Dagestan on Google maps and she was surprised at his upbringing. I also showed her the YouTube video of him wrestling a bear and we laughed and she said that is so cute.
When he was jabbing his face, she squirmed and started yelling at the TV to stop the fight and said Khabib was a nice guy from round 3 and on because he was taking it easy on AL and she used the word gentleman. She thinks Khabib felt sorry for AL and didn't completely destroy him on purpose.
Yeah so watch the fight without Rogans commentary and you will realize that the only person that will KO him is Conor. (And that's saying something)
