I suppose as much as you'd like. I washed mine on cold, tumble dy low for about 30 minutes to purposely shrink mine to fit. Since then, I still tumble dry low for about 15 minutes and have seen little to no shrinkage since then. I think you just need to keep an eye on it while drying the first time.
