Well, here is a fellow brazilian explaining to u guys how this chant was brought up...
It all started many years ago, with this american song, "Whoomp There it is":
The song was a big hit here in Brazil and them we changed the "Whoomp there it is" to "Uh Tererê",
that really means nothing, is just a sound, lol, that people used to chant in Volleyball, Basketball
matches and stuff. Even songs with this "uh tererê" shit were created, lol.
Later on some idiot started singing "Uh Vai Morrer" in "Uh Te re rê"s place, and then the trend started.
Everybody was singing "Uh vai morrer (uh gonna die)" in soccer, sports matches and whatsoever.
Really dumb stuff... Brasil gonna Brasil
